I'm glad the National Stadium was renationalised. We can be proud of it once again. And it's nice to see it regularly maintained. I've been to stadiums in many other countries that have seen better days, like they have never been cleaned before the moment after opening.

Though the stadium is maintained regularly, the COVID period where the stadium wasn't able to host large-scaled activities really gave these heroes all the time they needed to make our stadium clean again 😎
Don’t forget to mention the hundreds of our local boys who have been doing this job of hanging on ropes cleaning the National Stadium since it was built. Afterall, it’s their future grandchildren’s story too 🤙🏾🤙🏿

We were there only for a day shoot and we could feel how physically draining it is to wear the harness for long hours. Not to mention that they have to constantly climb the stairs and hang on ropes 🥺 They really are the unsung heroes of Singapore! - Pei Fang, producer

Rope access tech here. Originally from SG but now working in NZ. We use water fed brush and/or water blaster to wash buildings

Thanks for the comment. We appreciate the feedback. Unfortunately using a high-jet isn't feasible for 2 reasons. 1. The max length of the hose from the pump can only be 50m, and the length of the roof per drop exceeds that. 2. Getting the pump unit up to the top of the drop is unsafe given the weight of the unit and the way the catwalk access is designed. But I am definitely keen to try out the water-fed brushes. We are busy exploring the options to introduce them. :)

Ok, my fear of heights is definitely greater than Sean's cos my nerves are already making me cringe as I watch them go up in the boom, or walk along the walkway looking down.
