One of these got me once when I was young and I can never forget. I have some cornea damage but glad I can see
My Boerboel killed one of these in my garden the other eve. The cobra did some damage to the inside of his mouth and throat but he luckily survived. Felt sorry for the snake though. Had to put it out of its misery. I have much respect for these beautiful but dangerous creatures.
Simon and Suze shuold come to South America to catch snakes from the many species we have,in my country Uruguay,we have the fearsome Bothrops Alternatus or Crucera or Yarará ( Cross Viper ). Regards.

They wear shorts so that snakes can’t run up their legs. Which is a danger when wearing trousers apparently.
You'd think that after all the snakes they've handled they would wear proper gear. Smh

we used to kill so many of these back in the safari lodge... they used to come into my kitchen and especially behind my fridges and freezers where it is warm.

The best way to deal with snakes is to spray them with sulfur powder to prevent them from approaching residential areas.
