I also asked myself that? Probably their family is very toxic and they are broken by their family instead. Let's also pray for healing and forgiveness in such people.

You have to continue to pray and intercede for him. You also have to use your discernment you obviously dont submit to his will if its going against the word of God. Be patient love him and God will draw him in due time.
