"The Fool on the Hill" kinda was a theatre production. It was sung by the classically trained vaudeville singer William Shepherd - the guy who replaced Paul in Sept '66. He's also a classically trained pianist and wind-instrument player. The real Paul was just a simple rock n roll bass player.

Honest is so thick sometimes he doesn’t know that a Graphic novel means with pictures and then he doesn’t know who Gilbert and Sullivan are I’m from the same British working class background as him and I even know what these things are
