Probably one of the most beautiful Les Paul Custom ever

Honestly that's the best looking Les Paul Custom I've ever seen in my life! I want Gibson to make it again so I can burn my savings on one

Through all my existence, I was pretty convinced that a black les paul custom could never be replaced, but this planted some doubts in my heart.

It's weird but black is probably my least favourite colour on a LP. I dig black SG's but not LP's. Each to their own I guess?

I wish they would do more in this color. I still like black or white for a Custom but this would be a great color for a Studio or a Modern.

@@jubei7259 for me, actually works great on custom (as black beauty), but it’s terrible on standard, studio or any other (IMO).

A rolled piece of Duct Tape will easily lift those medallion switch control cover off. Or, you could use a Dental Pick to lift it through one of the screw holes. Trogly, you need a few more tools.

Normally I don't dig on purple for a guitar color but with the gold accents I like it, it works! Great video Trogly!

I have a Gretsch Brian Setzer Hot Rod in that exact blue/purple flip-flop colour. It's a stunning guitar.

I happened to pause at 6:44 and noticed the color can shift slightly into blue. Aside from the stingers not being leveled everything else is very tastefully done. you can't always pull off black sides, but with this combination it works nicely.

Leave the sides satin, do not change a thing, this guitar is perfect. Beautiful 👍

That color is just like the Epiphone Tommy Thayer Spaceman Les Paul just without the sparkles.

the lilac cluster has such a nice color on it. Gibsons seem so smart for blending the colors in the binding.

If I was the.luthuer working on that guitar idk if I could let it go. It's a beauty

When you put the covers over the rings it makes the rings look like binding. I like it with the covers installed. And the neck binding would have been tinted on the top until they scraped it level with the fretboard.

That is gorgeous. I love that they extended the black around the sides! Nice!

Yeah that thing is sweet. I knew that was the one you were gonna buy. A purple widow with matching headstock and double stingers? yep that’s Trogly’s wet dream guitar.

I would totally ditch the topper rings on the pickups, that white/lilac swirl is super cool!

Man I’m so glad you grabbed that one. It’s not usually my style but there’s something about that makes it really awesome especially with that gold hardware and stinger. I Love it!!!

Purple = Awesome. I have just finished building an offset guitar and I painted it with a metallic chrome purple using anodised paints. Because I was painting wood it required using a special base coat but the results are magnificent.

You never know how a kid might pickup an interest in an instrument. Taj Farrant was playing Pink Floyd solos by 7yrs of age on a Gibson Les Paul (check his youtube history). Maybe he's a rare exception but he shows what is possible for kids that are motivated and have great at home support. BTW, the Lilac Luster looks great on a strap, your buyer got a gorgeous guitar.

Anyone doing something impressive at 7 is a rare exception! I suspect it’s not as cool for the kid, or the parents of the kid, as it is for people who get to witness the prodigy perform when young; not as impressive when they get older and so hard for the prodigy to adjust to being a normal adult

im not a huge gibson fan or even vintage guitar fan (only one i have is a 1989 fender strat plus my granddad gave to me), but your videos are always entertaining and spark my excitement for guitar when motivation is running low

I wonder if this guitar glows when a spot is on it. It reminds me of a mid to late 70s carved studio that looked black in regular to low light but anything bright light. Except there was no binding and it was blue. Might even be in early 80s. On thinking in a good polished brass all hardware would look great.

Imagine a Les Paul custom for your first guitar, I had to save for a year as a fry cook at bobs big boy to get my first LP, oh about 39 years ago

My first guitar was a used LP custom which I still have. It was around 1984 and people were selling them used for dirt cheap so they could buy a pointy guitar which were all the rage at the time. Luckily for me my guitar teacher knew the Fenders and Gibsons flooding the used market were the way to go for the money I had to spend and pushed me in that direction. He was disappointed I went LP though because he was a Strat guy but knew the LP was a steal for what I paid.

My first was a 72 standard I bought used, I had it my whole life until it burned up in a house fire 20 years ago, but I scrounged all the hardware for it including the pickups which were still in good shape, I took the covers off and cleaned out any smoke residue and bought another identical 72 and put the old pups in it so in a way it still lives on, I also lost a 62 strat in the same fire, I don’t know why but I just can’t fall in love with a strat the way I love Les Paul’s, I just bought a R0 which set me back but the next will be a custom
