    Please be very careful with the quality of your olive oil. A good way of testing is putting it in the fridge - if it solidifies then it's good quality. If it doesn't, then has bad quality oils added or even some percentage of inferior quality olive oil (usually from the pitts, which is usually used for cooking, frying) added. Basically, if it doesn't solidify in the cold it's not good quality. Believe me, I used to have my own olive trees and olive oil in Portugal. I know what good quality olive oil is!

    A good way to go for those of us who don’t know much about olive oil is to buy California olive oil. Look for the COOC seal. California has stringent quality standards. Your getting fresher product, too, as opposed to imported. There can be lots of debate about taste and whatnot. I don’t have the palate to differentiate. Greece generally wins the prizes for best tasting. Here in America, we’re getting what the native Greeks reject, plus it’s older. Same for Italy. The biggest determinant of flavor and overall quality is if it’s extra virgin, first press, least processed. That’s what COOC guarantees you.

  • @SusanBaileyAmazingEstate

    @SusanBaileyAmazingEstate

    Жыл бұрын

    @@celestebinus6142 I’m pretty sure the COOC is mostly concerned with terms like EVOO, VOO, organic, stuff like that. My understanding is it’s not about types of olive or soil or any of the European factors that are considered so important. You can’t use whatever chemicals and crush the pit and still call it extra virgin. EV has a very specific meaning in the industry. Seems fair. When California first got competitive in the OO market, they went overboard to be able to get people to buy American made OO at all. Consider that the California government loves nothing more than some tight regulations, you can see how we got here. A trip to an agricultural region in Italy several years ago turned both me and my daughter into OO nuts. We toured farms for olives, grapes, and durum wheat. We took a cooking class. We each brought home a gallon size can of EVOO. My daughter hoarded that stuff. I finally emailed the company to find out where I could buy their product. Unbelievably, the Italian specialty grocer above ten miles from me is the only Michigan source. Crazy. Final thought. If you appreciate good OO, check into durum wheat. It’s sold a lot of places, but it ain’t cheap. The bread and pasta here all seem gummy and tasteless after sampling non-GMO wheat from Italy.

    As a 65+ year old I did an experimental water only fast for 14 days (the last 2 days I added clear beef broth since my hugely increased energy level began to drop.) I could never identify hunger as such during that time. I had busied myself with various projects. I broke my fast carefully for several days. Currently, 18 mos later, I fast 48-72 hours every so often and OMAD more regularly but nothing consistently. I haven't suffered illness for 3+ years and will shortly be seeing a physician for first time in over a decade just to ascertain a functional baseline .... My focus is educating myself about the healing power of fasting on myself as an individual. Hoping to encourage others to be more proactive in their "temple" care. Thanks Lewis and Dr. G. for helping with our education and insights

    Give us an update. I just started a water fast too. My man’s been telling me about H3O and how it’s better than water. Had my roommate google it and what do you know. She’s tryna be a surgeon someday, she says “ why are they telling us to drink water they should telling us to eat fruit”. This made sense because I’ve eating healthy and drinking a lot of water and I could never pin down why I was still so thirsty. Two friends told me water we drink and buy is bad because it doesn’t have nutrients and it’s got salt. But think about it evolutionary, who really could drink water. Those that lived near rivers or mountains. Not say all water is bad but why drink it when out body is made of H3O + not H2O. Look it up, there’s people that haven’t drinker water for x years. And another think, I feel like living abroad in Latin countries, they don’t buy water. They eat hella fruit. No duh!

    I started eating olive oil (almost 1 l per week) plus decreased the lectins, intook vitamin D, and pistacios everyday, and I actually lost weight. Even if I am slim now, I feel great. My allergies almost stopped, my digestion improved, and now my nutrients absorb, I have lost all my hair the past years, however, now it's all growing like a small forest, already 12 cm of brand new stuffy hair in only 8-9 months. My nails don't break anymore, my skin on my arms and legs no longer peels off, I no longer have bradichardy, extreme fatigue or tension fluctuations, irregular heartbeats, dizziness, seak, nausia, numb arm or legs, headaches, muscle pains etc. My cronic sinusitis is all gone. I no longer have partial paralisys of the face. I can actualy say that Dr Gundry's information saved my life. After almost 4 years of hospitals, the nightmare finally stopped. Since september 2022 , after I first heard Dr Gundry, I started applying the info, diet, nutrients, etc. I also combined with raw organic garlic before each meal, and some exercise each day. Got rid of the fatty liver, some of the chists, and the hemangioma stopped growing. Also solved the partial intestinal oclusion. I no longer have foggy brain and my memory is fantastic.. I am not trying to convince anyone, but it doesn't hurt to try his teachings for a month. It may not help you, but you will never know if you don't try and visible results don't come after just one or two days. Hope my feedback helps. Ps: thank you too Lewis for the proadcasts :)

    so SIMPLE…. I’ve been diagnosed with COPD. started taking B1 and low and behold I sleep better, I ache less, my focus has improved and I went from 27% lung capacity to 47%. Had stopped taking my “ lung puffers “ for two weeks and went from 2 flights of stairs to 5. I still can sing like nothing ever happened to my lungs and found that my breathing difficulties ARE DIRECTLY connected to stressful thought patterns and beliefs. I too should be dead long time ago. i’m glad that I took the time to research used my B1 and rearrange my belief system. It’s a hard climb for me as I’ve been tagged as bipolar, depressed, manic, hyperactive etc…fully committed to disconnecting from everything and everyone who insists that the B1 is a fragment of my imagination..Thank you for sharing 😅😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Although parts are repetitious, I didn’t mind, because I needed to hear it again. Thank you, Lewis, for bringing this to us. Thank you, Dr Gundry, for sharing 50 years of experience and research. Lewis, I love your School of Greatness programs and have learned so much from them.

    Just to make a correction: taro roots is not the same as cassava. Taro roots is a different vegetable very different from cassava, Cassava is long roots and there are a few forms of flour made from, also in north of Brazil there is a very popular flour made from fermented cassava, there is two dry types and a moist type recommended to make cakes (very delicious cakes gluten free) and the dry types to make pasta,and cheese bread add to mixture of gluten free flours. You may find the frozen cassava roots in some grocery store. Excellent substitute for potatoes with similar texture. The leaves can be also eaten for extra nutrients and also to kill parasites. I make for nutrients dense tortilla with the fermented flour with seeds,nuts,flex seeds, coconut shredded, tomatoes sauce olive oils sprouted orange and black lentils, its soooooo delicious, also add shredded cheese in it.raw cheese. I will be making a video about how to make it perfectly on the Skill Share. Keep eye on it! Will be 3 to 4 options of flavor and different nutrients.

    If nobody educates ordinary ppl about what not to eat , then how are they going to know?. Schools , or maybe Doctors , could educate them , but don't . Many Schools actually serve highly Processed Bad Food to Pupils instead of teaching them .Why is nobody (practically nobody) , trying to even change this unacceptable culture .?

    Dr. Grundy is excellent at making and telling stories, and this is one of the skill of many life scientists. He at the beginning saying that melatonin and glutathione are the most effective antioxidants against the oxidative stress, forgetting about vitC and other antioxidants. Then later he mentioned that the people smoking cigarettes and still lived healthily to old age due to their vitamin C intake, etc. You see the inconsistencies in his messages?. This is just one example. SO, don't listen and believe in everything you hear, you will soon find out how quickly messages can be changed to fit the stories or the narratives. Take everything with MANY grains of salt 😉!

    Actually, more specifically, Dr. Gundry says that melatonin and glutathione are the most effective antioxidants against "mitochondrial" oxidative stress; which they are. So there is no inconsistency between that and what he says about the antioxidant effects of Vitamin C.

    What about the fact we were eating certain foods growing up and our body cells have the memory of those foods we grew up with. In Romania. our basic foods were beans, cabbage and potatoes. Egg plant was rare but loved. Meat we only had once a week or less. I tend to eat very much the same. Most fruit and all kind of vegetables including night shades which I love. I did First Aid course a month ago. The instructor said I was 42. I am actually so close to 67. I try to have things like quinoa, acai berries, spirulina but I can t. I can t even have oats for breakfast because we didn t grow up on those foods. My basic food is fruit then vegetables with potatoe the King. I actually think that smoking and drinking let alone drugs do more cell damage to people than any food. And by the way I love beans but I do soak them over night and then boil them. Best recipe is when after you boil them you mix with olive oil, apple cider vinegar, parsley, onion, garlic salt and pepper and blend into a dip. Delicious. No pressure cooker used. I have no health issues.

    I'm so glad I found this video. I followed Dr. Gundry's diet about 6 years ago but after a couple of years, went off of it, as I didn't notice much of a difference, but I also didn't have any issues. However, I've been having stomach issues for the past 2 years and nothing seems to help for long. Trying the process of elimination, I recently stopped eating peanuts, which I love. I still have lots of almonds, but now I'm soaking them, and will go back on Dr. Gundry's diet. I have a feeling I'll see a difference this time! Everything he says makes sense, and seems related to my issue. Thank you!

    Just sprout the bean and then you can eat them. You can also soak them overnight changing the water, then boil them till tender, throw the water away. The longer you take to process the beans the better. Beans are loaded with proteins, nutrients and gut beneficial fiber. Still the best thing to do is sprout them first. Look up sprouting beans on KZread.
