Yeah I think her sister and family trying to piggyback off of her tiktok success is only bringing her more hate as people blame her for the rest of her families antics and gets a lot of teasing over the bits they ask her to do. She's famous for doing Tik Tok dances, just let her do that. Stop trying to make her into a reality tv star/celebrity. Realistically if she's really passionate about dance they should be focusing on her dance lessons and a dancing career. More music videos and back up dancing, less podcasts and family vlogs. Otherwise, when her audience grows up or tiktok loses popularity, she won't have a career to lean on.

Unpopular opinion: Charlie just wanted to make TikTok and be a kid (rich or not) and the adults in her life saw the opportunity to capitalize on her fame. She may have been complicit and enjoyed the lifestyle and company she got to meet, I’ll give you that, but the ones who pulled the trigger was undoubtedly her parents and manager. The glitz and glamour of fame is always appealing until you’re in the middle of it and you have 10 different people in your ear telling you what to do next and you’re schedule is packed and you have no time for normalcy or privacy. Her sister Dixie (through envy or jealousy) wanted what Charlie has but I think Charlie would’ve been fine just being TikTok famous without brand deals and collab and went about her life, until the world moved on to the new sensation. Her folks definitely pushed her to do more and cash in on vapid mediocrity rather than develop her dancing skills and launch off of that. She would’ve have made a fine choreographer and made bank on that had to she stayed the course. I’m no fan of her or do I follow her (I don’t even have a TikTok lol). My 2 cents 😅

As someone with skin problems since I was 12 I never understood celebrities getting into skincare. When you have real problems you go to dermatologist and they tell you what you should use. It's always something from pharmacy , dermatological cosmetics, brands that are on the market for years. Not once I ever heard any reccommedation of some celebrity brand from any doctor. Also people who actually are into skincare would never buy Kylieskin, rhode, florence or any shit like that. Even this celebrities don't use their own stuff.

The moves of the original Renegade dance by Jalaiah Harmon were not that simplistic, which was why Charlie and Addison’a version was modified and dumbed down. Even the versions of the dances that the original creators did on Jimmy Fallon were modified and dumbed down to look simple.

Charlie D'amelio is just literally the epitome of the most popular girl in High School.. Like if there was a tier list of all the most popular girls in high school. She would edge out and beat pretty much everyone. Which is why I think she became the most followed on TikTok. In a nutshell.

I can't credit the youtuber who said it, but it was something along the lines of "it used to be that you would only see the people who stand out at your high school. On the internet, you see a massive collection of the top few people who stand out from every high school." Charlie is like if you put all the popular kids together and she is arbitrarily somehow the most popular. She's rich but not too luxurious to be relatable, good-looking but not eccentric or exceptionally stunning or sensual in a way that would make other girls super jealous. Talented but not exceptional. It's really quite incredible how someone so inoffensive could end up being so glamorized and yet so hated on. Hope she finds herself and something that fulfills her outside of internet fame.

Let’s be honest the construct of fame has completely diminished in this aggressive social media era. On one hand you can see someone rise to “fame” in an instant and for virtually no reason . On the other hand this notoriety is fleeting since the market is so over saturated . There is so much pressure to adapt one’s fame into something legitimate . If they can’t they will fade into obscurity again.

Adolescents get sent to juvie, foster care, etc. and once they're over 18 even if support systems suck they won't have any at all after that. But she's free to live the life she wants even if it's not what her parents planned or even risky for her to consider.

It can't be easy having all that attention on you at an age where you are bound to do and say dumb things. I wish them well, they're young and they'll find their feet at some point.

I literally just discovered who she is because of this video. And honestly oddly I kind of have empathy for her. She's a very young girl who caught a break on the internet and was confused what to do with that fame. The online bullying was unwarranted and made me empathize with her more. I hope this young lady leaves Hollywood behind and find a new greater path.

She’s a teenager, kids do dumb stuff without any real sort of substance. People complain she’s not committed to projects… how can a child commit their life to one thing? You get people in their 40’s who haven’t found a solid job yet. They’ve held her to way to high of a standard, it’s unfair and unkind. Pretty cruel to criticise someone so young.

Easy not to feel the need to commit to anything when you have everything you'd ever need from that commitment given to you already. She could've died rich never having worked a day in her life but just so happened to make money from tiktok.

As we've seen from child actors in Hollywood, a majority of the time, introducing insane fame and popularity at such a young age almost always messes with the kid's development; and yes kids because all this fame comes while they're still minors and barely have a conception of what the world is. I honestly blame the parents more than anybody else.

The fact they made James Charles look down to earth and good is crazy. This family needs to step away from social media and focusing on investments. They already made it big. The damage they’re doing to their brand won’t help with sustaining cash in the long run when nobody watches them anymore. There are many yt channels with millions of subs that gain 20k+ views per video when they used to get 1mil each vid. The more they space it out the more people would be interested in them so a break is much needed.

@@MichellesdesignsEtc you aren’t wrong but if you have to resort to eating snails with a special guest episode interview then you’re already starving for views. This family needs better pr team and social media management. They’ve overdid their welcome. Tik tok was a great breakout but a reality tv show is overkill for what these girls can even do talent wise.

She's famous because she's basically the architype of that tiktok culture. She captured the network effect and it stuck. I.e. it doesn't matter that she's not the best dancer, she simply has the right 'look', the right character that the audience likes and simply has to keep producing videos. That's it.
