I've been waiting for a comeback since his brutal KO loss in his One debut. I felt so disappointed when his scheduled fight vs Aoki got cancelled, must be nothing compared to his struggle. But he stays amazingly positive, at least that's what he's projecting. I'd love to one time watch a tell all documentary on his life, if he's willing to share the darker chapters as well... I'm fascinated by how his dad in some ways helped and inspired him, but also his dad did steroids and got in trouble with the law... so it seems Sage has learned from his mistakes... and I'm guessing his early life hasn't been easy, cuz hardships is usually part of the formula.

@@sendokarlsefni It's Portugese. My man's shot documentaries in Dagestan, Abu Dhabi, Nigeria etc. etc. He knows how to find a translator and do subtitles. If you can only tell the stories of the people who speak your same language, your worldview will be extremely limited.

Grew up in the same area and went to school with this guy for a number of years. Even back in junior high, he was always all smiles and laughs and just a genuinely nice guy. The girls went mad for him too lol

With all this negativity and BS going on these days, his wholesomeness is such a breath of fresh air. How can you not root for him?

I love when Urijah says, "Thats the key. Instincs. You're tired, you're rocked. You do the right thing without having to think about it." Then Sage goes to grab the heel hook immediatley after he gets dropped. Super Sage is back baby!

Despite his losses, he was always fun to watch.

He's 11-3. Not a bad record

Sage is one of the most athletic fighters ever. Not even the guys in the lightest weightclasses could move the way he moves. He did a front-flip after his post-fight interview in one of his UFC fights, and it almost looked fake, it was so impressive.

I think the intro doesn't do Sage justice. The crowd has not forgotten him.

Really looking forward to see Sage getting back in the octagon. We need more positive characters in the game and he definetly won the crowds with his wholesome energy, wishing him all the best.

Sage was always a good dude and even tho he didn't become champ in the ufc. He always handled himself and others with integrity a real Martial artist.

super fun to watch , someone that was hard to dislike , hope he finds his niche .

I never forgot about Sage like the intro suggests, he was such a positive young prospect for MMA and i'd often wondered if he was coming back and checked his socials a few times over the years, it's shame about what happened and he was definitely rushed to the front of the line when they put him up against Cosmo, i'm really glad he is doing much better now and excited for his return on ONE Fight Night 10.

Sage shouldn't worry about his last loss. Look at Aljamain, he was knocked out absolutely cold by Moraes and he came back to become champion. Same with Poirier, he got knocked totally out by michael johnson but still came back for a great career.

Always be a fan of Sage. Reminds me of ex-SX and MX racer Ryan Dungey. Has that same innocent demeanor and both extremely dedicated to their craft.

I like Sage , and his sister also , and was excited for him going to ONE FC!! That shot from Cosmo or Kosmo was devastating and would be for anyone early in their career!! Even late in a career it would probably end most people's! I wondered what was up with Sage! That's some heart he has to come back when I'm sure he has a few avenues to be successful 💯HIS face was broken in many places from that shot! Cosmo , I've heard on podcasts , is a problem in the gym to spar cuz he hits so hard!! Glad to see Sage back and I hope he's safe and has a great career! 💯👍🙏😁

When it comes to the duality of fight fans, a lot of the blame can get put on the marketing. The UFC's marketing is always hyping up fighters, so when they don't perform up to the advertising, the fans dislike it, and thus, the fighter. Sage Northcutt is the nicest guy in MMA and very few real fight fans dislike him.

people don't necessarily forget about you they just want to watch the best of the best. im sure most people dont hate this man for not going 2 far in the UFC. People still have love for Sage Northcutt, im sure if ufc fans saw this man on the street they would all show love and appreciation for him.

I still never understood mma fighters who undervalued the ground game. He has great stand up but having a solid ground game prevents you from having to rely on one aspect of the game. Hope his wrestling/submission has improved if not……at least he’s getting a paycheck
