@@matt_one That's exactly right!,, I introduced/exposed my kids to everything from bands like Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, and The Cure,, to even earlier 80's stuff (like synth-pop/post punk etc...). They have a couple hundred songs on their playlist's now that's up to 20 years older than they are (and they're grown now lol)... You just can't beat a lot of the classic sounds from that time and era. If they could, they wouldn't continue to recycle it (like on "Stranger Things"), for these following generations!👍

My kids, younger than yours, are exposed to the music I listen since they were born. I remember the hard times with our first son, literally allergic to sleep, and how he easily fell asleep listening to AC/DC or Iron Maiden's music. Now, both my sons heavily criticize my musical tastes, while they listening to tons of shit.... I couldn't say that they love music. Their music is only an annoying background of the stupid videos they watch.....

...and I'm back and listening to this again.

James Obarr did a cameo in the movie. In the scene where Eric meets Albrett, James Obarr is seen running out of Gideons Pawn shop carrying a tv.

Of course all her works deserve to be listened, she's such a great singer... for me the best female singer. I love The Cure as well, I was a fan since Faith, Seventeen Seconds and Pornography. When I listened to Burn the first time, while watching The Crow movie, I was very struck. It's such a powerful music!

@@matt_one Pornography and Disintegration were two of my favorite albums along with the B side s of Standing on the Beach. Kate Bush is a pioneer for women on the Alternative seen for sure . Too bad she was long forgot. Burn struck me as well so much so …it is in my will to be played at my funeral. I am an old school Cure fan. I was that kid in school that Dressee like Robert Smith. I joined the Military and when I went to my ( blank ) HS Reunion. No one knew who I was without the black wild hair and red lipstick. Ah, good times I look forward to hearing more of your art. So, The Cure and.... what else? I remember those days when it was so exciting to discover so many amazing bands. One album that I loved immensely was "Tinderbox" by Siouxsie And The Banshees. Of course I Ioved Sisters Of Mercy, Clan Of Xymox, The Mission, The Sound (amazing band!!!!), Japan, Lycia, Dead Can Dance..... And I'm a huge fan of Peter Gabriel as well. Thank you! I tried to keep the mood of Placebo's version with additional drums. Many are from Burn, as well as the electric bass and guitars. There's a synth bass line, maybe the only element that could give some electronic feeling. Industrial? I don't know, but I love Front 242 and maybe I'll try to make something similar soon! 🖐😃

After making this, I discovered a lot of covers of this song.... Placebo's cover is still my favorite. I made this only for fun and because I had the curiosity to hear how Brian Molko's vocals would fit to The Cure's Burn. I'm happy you like it, thank you very much for your appreciation!

Great job with your fantastically remastered audio collage remix. I've always loved this song and you just added a smidge of greater ferocity to the original💗

@@matt_one I bought some studio reference headphones (AKG 7xx) and these are really great for identifying soundstage, imaging and how the music/sound has been mastered overall. This remix excels in all of these things. It makes me feel like i'm listening to this live with all the performers around me. A real treat for the ears :)

Outstanding.... very very well done , absolutely love The Crow & the cure ( movie & soundtrack a masterpiece in itself).

Thanks! Burn is their hammer song! I love this song. Then, there is Primary from the album Faith (Deluxe Edition 2005).

Three of my favourite songs combined to make this piece of art? Aw, hell yes! I'm a 00s kid, and growing up, my dad introduced me to the music he listened to when he was younger (70s en 80s mostly). The Cure quickly became one of my favourites (Disintegration is probably my favourite album of all time). Being a massive movie nerd, he eventually watched The Crow with me. Man, that movie haunted me, in a good way. I'm now in my twenties, and my dad and I still exchange songs with each other. I guess it's our love language haha.

I'm always pleasantly surprised when I meet young people loving '80s music. Disintegration is a masterpiece, on a par with The Cure's three best albums, Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography. If you like this genre, I could suggest you "Tinderbox" by Siouxie And The Banshees and "From The Lion's Mouth" by The Sound. Trust your dad, if he's telling you that those two decades were specials. He's right! Thank you very much for your appreciation!

@@specialke1 The Sound was a great British band, very underrated in my opinion. Their best album are the one I've already told you, then "In The Hothouse", a live album, and "Heads And Hearts". They really deserve a listen!😃

My dad done exactly the same, showed me all the music he listened to growing up.. im a 90s baby.. the cure became my favorite more so than others as well.. we also send eachother music all the time too. Made me smile reading your comment knowing somebody else has done the same 😊.. we go for drives of a night from time to time listening to a bunch of 80s music. Nothing better

If there was a goth kid (I say kid and a lot of us are in our 30s and 40s) anthem I would say this mix is it.
