I loved their last remark. Don’t here much about Palmer these days. The Cure they’re still doing it ❤❤❤

Once heard Robert Smith say "It's simple really but you've gotta have the songs". Man do they have 'the songs'.

Another version of this does exist, with Funeral Party and A Forest (re-broadcasted by belgian television in 2000). I'm still searching for that video.

I think I read somewhere that Robert Palmers crew actually kicked their asses afterwards. I guess mr. Palmer wasn't amused with the long end, the final remark also didn't help :P But damn, they were so good back then! Still my favourite line-up, Lol Tolhurst wasn't the most technically accomplished drummer by a stretch, but he obviously didn't get the respect he deserved. His playstyle fitted their sound so well.

You're absolutely correct! and from those days in the 80's when I thought Werchter was German because it sounded German (to me anyway) but now I'm older and more knowledgeable (well I have Google) so I know Werchter is in Belgium and the programme itself was broadcast on Dutch TV and here's A Forest in better quality... Enjoy. kzread.info/dash/bejne/daFpsKx-prvRhLA.html
