My deceased buddy James (Jim) knew this was a great band in the 80’s. He always knew great bands before they became mainstream famous. I believe if James were still alive today he would have been involved in the music industry somehow. He knew great music. He knew the Cure was awesome and would have loved to hear all their newer music, but sadly James passed away in 2001. Thanks James for letting me know about the Cure.

I am absolutely in all .This live version is f*****g incredible!!! Rarely played live and its a shame .What an amazing track musically and vocally on a double album that is the essential and assessable Cure. Its a rare combination of highs and lows light and dark. It is so well rounded and brilliant in its collaborations of the very different tracks. Displaying all sides of The Cure. A complete work of art ! ❤️

"All I want is to be with you again" This was the last performance I saw of the Cure and have been waiting, waiting so patiently. I thought they would have released the new album by 2017, since this tour was 2016 and they had 2 new songs. But being a Cure fan for the past 30 years I realize that Robert does things on his own time. That's why I'm not even mad they haven't had a new album since 2008. This is a rare song from a great 3 night run at MSG, they rarely play it much since 87. Robert displays his full vocal range on this track giving the feeling of intense yearning and a burning desire. I also love the scratchy, sliding guitar he plays. I remember hearing the first few notes and I was excited. He sounds like he did, back in 87 on the Kissing tour.

You can play Dm - F - Am for the verse and F - Am for the chorus. Of course there are lots of details and little variations that make this music so much more, but it's still fun to play and sing the song for that progression.

For the main riff... yes, that one. He slides up on the G string an octave up for A (2nd fret to 14th) - yesh... huge slide! and then he comes down on that rythm you know. something like this: G| --2///(the slide up)--14--12--10--9--7--5--4--2-- bend and release 0-2--- 5-- 7-- 9--2 bend and release 0-2 -- || most of those notes are played 3x in a row, like 141414-121212-101010... I wrote once each for easier reading and still sucks, I know. Hope it helped.
