What’s so cool is that even acoustically, the Cure is the genesis of alternative. No computers, no sound machines, pure alternative genius. Each day I appreciate this band more, and I listened to the Cure from day one.

I’ve been listening to The Cure since they first were around (yes ages ago), and now I’m 68 and they still find prominence in my music listening.

It was like opening an old but beautiful bottle of wine. Delicious!

Even today, Robert Smith still has a voice as fresh as he was forty years ago. A big thank you for this great moment.

Acoustic music means nowhere to hide. Of course The Cure were built for acoustic greatness, because they are actual musicians, from a time when you simply could not be anything else! I'm 15 again and I LOVE it here, in this place, in this time. Timeless.

I still have the tickets from 1981, 1982 and 1984 😃The shows were magic and depressive. After that time Robert never wrote songs like "The drowning man", "The Funeral Party" or "The Figurehead". I really loved the first 4 albums.

There is a CD you can get that was a limited edition of pretty much their greatest hits, but acoustic version. It was actually given away as a random prize by the band/label about 20 years ago. When I bought their greatest hits, i also got this album. I think from memory maybe 12 songs.

I am so lucky to have had the cure, smiths u2 echo etc my teenage years. Never will it be like the 80’s. Loved it and still listen

Spectacular what a masterpiece. I just listened to Burn off of BBC festival 2019 The song couldnt be more different and that was a magnificent version. His voice is still perfect.

Man with the golden tongue - vocal signature , tenor, tone all tend to change as we age but Robert's still sounds as crisp and youthful as ever - incredible!

The CURE is the best musician no matter what is rock or pop. They are sincere in playing the music, there are 2 in rhythm part. Here they look some like a jazz band. I admire them and enjoy their music only. I wish to contact the cure's live as much as possible.

The forest is a dream gone too far into reality and back to the unreal. It will always exist. Just like any of the Mozart or Bach masterpieces

Robert Smith and David Bowie are certainly worthy of the genius tag! Love both these bruthas!!!.... ❤️ Another i would add, even though his catalog is not as epic, is Peter Weller. Joe Jackson is another i think very highly of but Bowie and Smilth are on a whole other level. So original and creative!! The Cure is one of the most underreated bands of all time in my view! Their songs are just amazing!

His ability to bounce from genre to genre si effortlessly Im going say he is the best writer of the genrration. Ill say this The Cure is the closest we have to the Beatles. Punk,post punk, goth, pop,jangle pop. Musucal influences from around the globe. Thier 6 album arc pornography thru wish is one of the best not just in the 80s but in music period
