The Cure - A Night Like This
Due do WMG copyright and regulation the original studio track was blocked worldwide. In order for viewers to hear the song, the video was substituted with a live track that was recorded at 'The Palace' in Auburn Hills, Michigan on July 19th 1992.
Video sequence can not be achieved cohesively due to this song version. Nevertheless, I gave it a try to manipulate it as close as possible and hope you will enjoy it. Many thanks for watching.

The Cure - A Night Like This Lyrics
Say goodbye on a night like this
If it's the last thing we ever do
You never looked as lost as this
Sometimes it doesn't even look like you
It goes dark
It goes darker still
Please stay
But I watch you like I'm made of stone
As you walk away...
I'm coming to find you if it takes me all night
A witch hunt for another girl
For always and ever is always for you
Your trust
The most gorgeously stupid thing I ever cut in the world
Say hello on a day like today
Say it every time you move
The way that you look at me now
Makes me wish I was you
It goes deep
It goes deeper still
This touch
And the smile and the shake of your head...
And the smile and the shake of your head...
I'm coming to find you if it takes me all night
Can't stand here like this anymore
For always and ever is always for you
I want it to be perfect
As before...
I want to change it all
I want to change
Coming to find you if it takes me all night
Can't stand here like this anymore
For always and ever is always for you
I want it to be perfect
As before...
I want to change it all
I want to change
I want to change it all
I want to change

I had a short relationship with a girl from the US travelling through Europe 1989 in Munich . She went home on Nov ninth that year. 2011 we met on FB again and she said : How is it going ? You know you changed my life by introducing me to the Cure? She explained me, how she fell into that new music , wanna visit me? And here we are married , still living in the US,,,still

Is everybody enjoying this in 2021? I've been enjoying this band since I was 17 in 1982. Some of us will be eternally Gothic in our souls...while admitting the light, we enjoyed the journey out of darkness. The Cure are artists of the highest calibre, pure and simple.

I am turning 54 in March 2023. Because of The Cure and their songs like this, especially The strange day song, that I was listening to for the first time when I was 16 in some alternative disco club back in Slovenia, Ljubljana,...I started to learn English. I am originally Croatian born, now living in England. Love you The Cure. You definitely directed my life with your melodies and lyrics.

The Cure isn't a band it's a feeling! you can tell their sound still influences so many modern indie artists, my friend is one of them, The Cure were the sound track to our high school days, every song is a timeless classic to us, while I'm here I wanna throw my friend some love for all the good times, he's a music producer now and makes great indie tunes on his laptop, try searching Lonely Gimmick - Roll Me Over, you may be in for a surprise

I'm 42 and still remember listening to The Cure when I was about 5 or 6, I never changed my taste in music but stopped listening as much as I did. Recently a girl I met told me she's only been listening to them for a few years and she's close to my age, she's awakened a sleeping force in me that has given a new meaning to life and music.
I'm 49, been a cure fan since 89. When I hear this song, its still makes me feel the way I did back then. It's magical. Timeless. Precious.
You can't duplicate this incredible voice
One of the prettiest songs I have ever heard. The lyrics reminds me of him. I believe that's the best compliment you can give to someone.
one of his most gifted best. i miss the 80s so terribly. so much positive energy all around. and best music of any decade bar none.
saw the Cure live last year, 1st of november… i broke up on a phone call minutes before they entered the stage. their whole set list from that night makes my heart burn, but also heal. Cure is truly magical.
Say goodbye on a night like this If it's the last thing you'll ever do You never looked as lost as this Sometimes it doesn't even look like you It goes dark it goes darker still, please, stay But I watch you like I'm made of stone as you walk away I'm coming to find you if it takes me all night A witch hunts for another girl For always and ever and always for you You're just the most gorgeously stupid thing I ever cursed in the world Say hello for a day like today, say it every time you move The way that you look at me now Makes me wish I was you It goes deep it goes deeper still This touch And the smile and the shake of your head And the smile And the shake of your head I'm coming to find you if it takes me all night Can't stand here like this anymore For always and ever is always for you I want it to be perfect like before Oh, I want to change it all Oh, I want to change Oh, I want to change it all Oh, I want to change

i have never felt music preferences should have an age assignment, music, is an universal language, able to reach all. I was listening to Bach to Wagner when i was a little kid due to a school trip to symphony, and was hooked since then, and so while my friends listened to Leif Garrett (i was a wee kid in the 1970s), I put on my opera and classical music records on my record player. I love the latest live performances of this song, my favourite one of theirs live. Its a little bit quicker which makes it a perfect live performance. One of my fave guitarists ever does the solo, Reeves Gabrels from Tin Machine and his stunning guitar in Bowie's 96-97 shows.
My mom just died July 20 2023 3 days of bedside vigil , I helped take care of her very ill, i was even passing out from P.O.T.S. , with my 85 yr old father and big brother cause we wanted her at home she had Parkinson's, Dementia, it was for 15 years, the last 10 were tough, she was a trooper-my best friend. I love The Cure since 1987. Favorite songwriter. Band..in my anxiety, PTSD, Depression from being ill.

This is the best version of this song I've ever heard. I love it.
Hard to explain the beauty behind this amazing tune...I mean THE CURE!!!!!
such a powerful song ... this one hit me like a brick ... back in '85 when that virgin vinyl met my turntable needle for the first time
I'M 43 AND THE FIRST TIME I'VE LISTEN TO THE CURE I WAS 12... SAW THEM LIVE IN PORTUGAL RECENTLY... ROBERTS VOICE IS STILL THE SAME!!! LOVE THEM.
the Cure is in my wonderfully beautiful melancholic "Soundtrack of Life" and that iconic voice & guitar always takes me right back to the memories that they are intertwined with.
Hauntingly beautiful song and one of my favorites.
I'm 63, still in love w/Robert Smith & still Listening to the Best Band In The World & Best Concert To Attend ! THE CURE !😍🔥🎵❤️💋🌹😃

Hoje em 2020 tenho 46 anos e comecei a ouvir The Cure com uns 12 anos, até hj escuto os discos do The Cure e essa música particularmente é a que eu mais gosto.
Hi, I'm from Argentina and fana of The Cure since 1984, I had the opportunity to see them in the River Plate stadium this 12/04/2013 with my wife and were amazed! I was in tears! Too bad it did not happen this topic .. but I can not complain about the 3 hours 20 minutes of show he did .... a big one!
My fav Cure song of all time
How does a musician know which way to go there are so many possibilities and yet to make them narrowed down to a perfection of a singular feeling. It's some kind of crazy genius.
I am 52 and this song make me want to live in this chaos world, though I don't' want to.
