This is wonderful. Back in late 1990’s I sang with Vern Gosdin for a bit and lived in Donelson/Hermitage , TN. I used to see Connie working out at the gym the same time I would. I never bothered her; it was great to know I was working out with the best!

Thank you for posting this wonderful documentary of the greatest female voice in country music,Connie Smith. She never sings a bad tune,I love all her music, traditional country music or gosphel.She is such a humble entertainer, who sings every note from the heart.She truly has been blessed with a God given talent! We are so grateful to have had her music all these years.Her albums are as fresh today as they were when they were released.I only wish I could have seen her perform more concerts than the one I saw in Wheeling West Virginia at the Capital Music Hall several years ago.Thank you Connie,God bless you!

Connie Smith is timeless. Her voice today as good as ever. She talks of mockingbird Park. Mockingbird Hill in Anderson, Indiana brought all the best artists. As a child I stood at side of the stage and got all their autographs. From the 50’s and still have that autograph book today

Beautiful voice of Connie Smith. And superb playin and singing of Marty Stuart will the keep the real country music alive. That's why I like also Dwight Yoakum. Great job.

She and Marty’s love story is pretty great

This says so much in regards to true traditional country music in many ways. Obviously, Connie's music throughout the years has always been so deeply rooted. It's a great album. But, what I loved most of this video clip is that it begins and ends with Merle Haggard. Connie and Marty were very dear friends of Merle and I feel it was mutual from Connie and Marty.....They both headed up Merle's Memorial Service at his ranch in Redding at Merle's request prior to his death. What's so terrific about country music is how much the TRUE country artists feel about one another. Thank you for posting this video. Long live traditional country music!

Connie Smith is such a National Treasure. I too have loved her voice and her testimony for so many years. Thank you Dear Lord for giving us such pleasure to have her with us for so long. Wow this is country at its best. Connie is a natural. A pure Gem. Merle Haggard, said it all. He told us, people tried to copy Connie, right down to her laugh...lovely beautiful person. I have never met her, but it oooozes from her, Such a Natural. ❤❤🇮🇪💚🍀

When I was a small child my two favorite country music singers were Connie Smith and Kitty Wells. My late ex-husband, Marty Taylor (a.k.a. Dallas Taylor when he lived in Nashville) mostly sang country and gospel music use to sing 'A Million In One' - beautifully, with a base voice I might add! So it was a real delight that Connie recorded it as Marty never got around to recording so many of the songs that he sang as he only left us with one secular and one gospel CD. Through all the years and her many recordings I've never heard Connie sing a song that didn't truly sound heartfelt. I believe that's why her fans identify with and love her so much. Unlike Marty Stuart, sadly I've never had the great pleasure of seeing Connie in concert. Hoping much continued success and Connie's latest release goes PLATINUM!!! Love to Connie, Marty, their families and loved ones.

So glad to see you back Connie I grew up listening to you and the older traditional country music Marty thanks for bringing her back! 🙏🏻😇

Besides Loretta Lynn, I love Connie Smith too. Not only is she beautiful, and Loretta, even today. Both their music touched my life and heart. I got to see Connie in person and Loretta. My two favorite female singers. I love them both.

Connie Smith got me through puberty LOL all the heartaches of being a teenager I am now 30. I asked my mother you see my birthday is in July but she was performing in May in McConnelsville where we were from and I told my mother I said I know my birthday isn't for a few months but I would like to see Connie Smith and she bought the tickets and I got to see Connie Smith that was one of the last things we did together before she passed that was a good time all around thank you Connie for making it possible

I saw the same show at the Opera House, really great performance.

The instantly recognizable unique styling of Connie. A litany of wonderful memories and songs by a tiny lady with legendary talent. The Sun Downers and the Weldon Myrick steel guitar sound backing Miss Connie. Simply unforgettable. I hear one note and I go wow, that woman can sing, little Miss Cute ~N ~ Country. as a young girl I would listen to you and wish I could sing like you ! I was 14 when my parents divorced in 1966, and I listen to my one record day and night. God bless and keep you forever in His care.

Marty and Connie, your documentary is awesome on so many levels, that I can't even begin to list. You both have entertained me often over the years. I hold the two of you in high regard. And, as Marty often says about others; you are salt of the earth, country folk that, although I don't know you Personally...I wish I did! Thank you both for enriching my life with not only your music, but all the other projects you both participate in, to keep country music alive! Your knowledge is vast and you have the hearts of a teacher!
