I love the aerial views of your junkyard Silas, so organized and stretched out! Glad you finally got your crusher, so awesome man!
I had no idea how big your junkyard actually was until I saw the drone footage. I always enjoy a good session of crushing cars, trucks, and all the other odd pieces of equipment that you try to see as to how well they crush. Thanks again for the video, Silas.
You have mad skills with that loader
Love everything you do. You have the dream going there. As a lifetime mechanic, I am always looking for a project. Thank you Silas for being so genuine.

Love it when ya crush everything
This is really, really, great. I can watch crushing videos like this all day long. Really great video.
I would've loved to walk your yard to see all the older cool vehicles.
This is an outstanding video 👍🏻👍🏻 The video from the drone is amazing. You have your junkyard very well organized.
I love junk yards !!!
You should lay a large tarp down in front of crusher to catch debre.... thanks for drone view!
Always love your crushing videos. And your drone work is getting better and better! :)
That Fleetline is definitely worth saving! Sad seeing a complete late 70s-early 80s Oldsmobile sedan get mashed!
Drone View over Your Empire ! Crusher Arrived ! Lots more Cars came in ! Crushing Cars and Odds and Sorts - hey - Death Donkey bid the Dust - ha ! Well You did made it a Great Start - more Crushing coming soon ! Enjoyed the Video very much and many Cheers from Australia !!!!
Love it when you are crushing, great drone shots, like the music too, keep up the good work.
Your explanations on what you choose to crush, and salvage are great. Really enjoy your channel.
Let the crushing begin Silas. BTW, great choice in the opening music.
Love seeing junk crushed.
Love what you do, come across really will & so interesting, as said can't save it all, to all the haters out there that last piece of stainless trim left on a wreck would take an hour to recover carefully & it would be expected to be done for free!
You wasn’t holding your breath right using the remote lol😊
Remote control situation..... Just because it's newer doesn't mean it's better kids❤❤❤😂😂😂
Sir's keep on crushing him cars
Really wish you were closer to me Good junkyards are getting harder and harder to come by!!
Save those Bump Side Fords. Lots of valuable parts. Wish I was closer to you.
That intro beat was so soothing
I am guessing it is satisfying when you get a area clean and crushed. Great job.

Any chance of getting an hour long crushing video like the great studebaker crush video. I still play that every few weeks silas .Absolutely my no 1 KZread channel 😊
Yay! Great footage of the Green Meanie trundling in behind the big red rig ready to squish, squash and crunch iron Silas
Cool!
15:14 My boy: "Daddy why is Silas crushing a rocket?" Me: "Silas gets to crush all the old stuff from NASA" My boy "WOW! He's so cool!" 😂
Do you think those vehicles are shaking watching that machine roll in there????
The VW Bug behind the crusher needs a home lol
Silas this is the second time I've seen these, what look like demolition derby cars, you somewhat explained what they do with them,but not fully.
Always enjoy the ride alongs,inspiration to clean my place up,great video
That piece of international farm equipment was a feedgrinder not bale shredder. Shredder wouldn't have an auger. However can't be 100% w/out seeing the front
In South Wales there a metal shredder that eats 3000 tonnes of scrap per day ,you merely have it's breakfast 😋
Happiness is a warm crusher!! You are in your Glory , Doing what you enjoy doing . Stay well , God Bless you a d yours , Stuart in Ontario .........................................
I like to see cars to get smashed. And to see how you use the folks on the loader never seen someone that good before. I bought some Raycon ear buds they are awesome.
4:01 I like how you kicked up that tire with a boost from your knee when stacking. Smart!
the Death Donkey Explorer had a rear axle I'd love to grab. They're almost always 8.8" traction-loc, have good gear ratios, a nice rear disc brake setup and the width is right for a whole bunch of Fords like Mustangs, Fairlanes etc.
What a crushing development 😮🤣🤣! That was 45 days ago that you started. I hope it all went well. I hope it went like the old Halloween theme song. They called to mash the monster mash.... Our little lady on Saturday night live squatting with her purse saying masher masher. Smart way that it worked out or planned out. Whatever is being crushed has been crushed and you not bothered with people driving up and say hey I'd like to buy that one. Then not offer you enough over scrap to make it worth your time. hopefully you're out there dancing for the month. It was a little before my time to get back in the sixties it was called a mashed potato 🍠😮🤣. Great episode and I love the intro.
Hey, that's the Man Day cars😎😎 lol.
Thats a grinder mixer for feed not a bale grinder tho
32 cans of Fix-A-Flat should do it😂..... just kidding
Just don’t crush the classic stuff! I worked at a few scrapyards. One, we were crushing a lot of classic and muscle cars. The owner would let us save any. EPA came in and made them put a tank under the crusher, to recover the fluids. (Oil, transmission fluid, gear oil). But they never checked what was done with that fluid. One crusher would shove the cars in about 5 ft, crush, then push another 5’, and keep doing this til the whole car was flattened. Only 1 car jammed the machine. A jaguar V-12. Of course that would happen on a 98 degree day. Took us almost an hour to get it out!
@AdventuresMadeFromScratch

I drain most of the fluid before we crush. It’s impossible to get it all, so our crushers have built in drain tanks on them for that reason. Then there are many companies that will come pick the fluids up
My favorite part of your videos is when you crush.
200 $ for a ton is a good price , with the lockdown, the price was down also , now is the price good..
I always liked watching the demolition derbies and expeditions at the San Bernardino Orange Show, and the county fair in Yuma. That's what the load of cars that came in reminded me of. Of course, I liked the fairs too.
That's great you know exactly where every car is on your lot
That 48 is bad ass wish I could save it
"stuff comin in sooo fast" A Good Problem To have, my friend!
I've been enjoying your videos for many months now, have a wonderful day from Scotland 👍👍
Good work man

Cool
* It'll Have To Wait Honey ! Silas Has A New Episode ! 👊😎👍. Love the drone shots and new intro. The demo cars were an unexpected, fun, surprise. Do they still use the 6 sided crushers ? The ones that box the cars up.
@AdventuresMadeFromScratch

Probably, but those are useless if you crush a lot of trucks and farm equipment. For what we do, these work the best.
@Awsom47Merc

Good point. Haven't seen those truckloads of boxed cars since the seventies. Just wondered. I still remember the scene in Goldfinger where Odd Job crushes the Lincoln with the body and gold in it. Hauls it back in the bed of a 64 Ranchero. Which isn't even dragging it's tail ?!! 🤔
Bean waiting for this.
Cool video! Maybe next year you can go to the race/wreckfest thing. That would be a cool video to see what they do to these cars before you get em.
I'd watch crushing videos for hours.. slow mo destruction!!!
What a beautiful place!
Silas, have you considered making up a stockpile of short steel? Sometimes, if the steel prices are lower, short steel is still worth putting together. It just needs to qualify for the steel mill's requirements, and you could easily have a profitable load to put together. Anything you don't have to cut apart is already good for short steel. I've heard some mills will take hubs (sometimes called just wheels, but it's the part the tire fits onto) if they're without a tire. In any case, it's always worth checking your local steel mills, and see if there's demand for anything. They'll certainly like it if they can get bulk quantities of it.
I might be a crushoholic but I've looked forward to this. 😁
Thanks for the great content.
I like the four door Chevy pickup. That is super cool
Another awesome video, keep them coming!

Ever get to watch them crush cars? I got one a few miles from me, he only crushes a few weeks out of a year but it sure is fun to watch. He lets me pull right into the back to watch the show lol
24:00 I do know first hand what being hit head-on at 70mph feels like - I am still carrying the scars 50 years later. Having said that, my 'old iron' did survive the impact rather better than the much younger vehicle that hit me.
Hi . I’m guessing you should invest in a yard sweeper magnet . May not pick up everything but save on tiers.

I hit a fan motor that had just fallen off a few moments before. I usually keep the roads picked up pretty good
ive had clam shell failer with my raycons ($30)hing break and power port other wise great sound
Like the music sir
I'm surprised you don't have a shredding machine, looks like you have a big enough stockpile to justify one.
Enjoyed watching you
It's crunch & munch time ,the crusher is hungry
Great job Salis really enjoyed it love that crusher as always thank you for sharing and your time was really great never miss a video and can't wait for next video
Silas that’s a hammer mill/mix mill for making wheat and corn into edible feed not bales of hay FYI for next time 😊
Keep your eyes open for that 77 through 1979 Caprice classic I'm looking for a front grill 4 My two-door 1978

Great video.
Sure hated seeing Death Donkey meet it's end. 😞
If I lived near you I would do some work for free for a go of the crusher 😊😅
Where do you list things like the 48 Chevy with wrap arounds?
Like,to have seen the 94 S10
I loved the 48👍

To bad I didn't live closer.? I help out no charge... use to run a railroad scrap yard
You need solid rubber tires on your front end loader so you don't worry about losing air out of your tires
@AdventuresMadeFromScratch
11 ай бұрын
We used to have them. When you figure the cost per year over their lifespan, they actually cost more than air tires including having to put patches in these.
@MichaelRadcliff-zu3zm
11 ай бұрын
Well maybe find a big magnet,to run across the road your driving your machine on to pick of scrap so you don't run over it all the time
@AdventuresMadeFromScratch
11 ай бұрын
@@MichaelRadcliff-zu3zm I rarely get flat tires. What caused this flat was a fan blower motor that fell off of a car as I was driving. Unfortunately even a magnet wouldn’t have prevented that.
Do you have any old COEs ( Cab Over Engine) from the fifties or Sixties? I am looking for one.
Would be nice if you mention the name and location of the salvage yards you work in cause their are people like me wouldn't mind making the trip to do or give some kind of business.
Wow I see you got a Honda Civic station wagon in the crush pile I haven't seen a station wagon for such a very long time
👍👌👏 2) Hope that you can fix a hole in the loader tires yourself. By the way: Isn't there a possibility to have a sealant fluid in those big tires? Green fluid if I remember correctly. Of course I'm eagerly looking forward to watch the next video. Best regards, luck and health in particular.
