This 54 hour event occurs near the end of recruit training and features little sleep, little food, and over 40 miles of marching and 32 warrior stations that test physical toughness and mental agility. It is designed to build self-confidence, teamwork, and trust in fellow Marines. Succesful completion is a recruit training graduation requirement. The event is known as The Crucible.
