Had they done it in the past, they weren't doing it immediately before or during the events. There is a cycling documentary, where a cyclist doped to see how many places he could jump up, it hurt him, he was literally was not as good a cyclist after a year. lots of the athletes don't practice on specific equipment, they create something similar, most however train at a CrossFit gym, they provide the equipment and you essentially pay a gym fee, like all athletes do, I don't actually understand why someone would think you cant train without personally owning specific equipment. It is one of the cheaper sports to compete in overall and the costs only become high because of the time needed to train, most have this as their sole job because they don't have the time to hold down a full time one, so will earn money through competition and endorsements. Apart from the Mat Frasers who has rich parents, most are pretty average in the financial sense unless they own crossfit gyms.
