Scarlet's mech being named "Crimson Mare" is a reference the personal steed of the second of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - War. Thematically, it's hinted at by building heavily off of Sonon's flashbacks and the role of Scarlet's advanced weapons against Wutai during the war. This also helps to give some thematic flavor to her Shinra executive peers as all being the key figures of the apocalyptic threat to the Planet.

Aerith may have said that Sephiroth is the biggest threat to the planet, and he is from what I know of him, but the Shinra company and its executives (aside from Reeve) shouldn't be overlooked or forgotten either. Even without Sephiroth, Shinra is working on starting a way where Scarlet promises to play an important role as the one who makes their weapons. So, there are multiple threats to deal with and I get the feeling that they are not going to wait in line for a crack at us or the characters we are playing as.

They managed to do Scarlet smart and confident villain, lot more depth then in orginal game. She is interesting contrast to Yuffie.

More than likely, she would command the people trying to get on the boat to get out of her way and have her subordinates remove anyone who tries to stop her.

Then you misunderstand her character. She's got class and style definitely but she definitely would mention she's a brilliant engineer not that she's rich....

I'm still so impressed by Erin Cottrell's absolutely fantastic performance as Scarlet! That maniacal laugh is the cherry on top!!

On Yuffie not understanding "droping Plate Number 7" I don't think she knew that Midgar is set up in plate segments and is spoken about as such. Being from Wutai and having never been to Midgar, I think that's why she said "You're gonna drop a plate? And?" thinking literally a plate, the object. Whereas Sonon is older and has probably done more resesrch etc. Or been to Midgar, so when she tells him they want to drop the plate, he knows the gravity of what that means.

Indeed, she clearly is not familiar with the Layout of Midgar and even Cloud had Jessie explain it to him on the train. Yuffie is not aware of the full gravity of what this means. As the audience and players, we are gifted with more information than she has at her disposal.

Indeed, I don't think it is known outside of Midgar that the plate is inhabited by people.

I think Scarlet is a great Character, that was such a cool boss battle. Loving the combat, I am enjoying the PlayThrough! 🤗

Yay! Between jury duty this morning and a coming snow storm, I needed this blast of serotonin today.

It’s a little confusing but I think while Zhijie knows some kind of plan is in the works to destroy sector 7, he doesn’t know the manner that Shinra is going to achieve that. So when Scarlett reveals that they are going to drop the plate and destroy the slums underneath, its those specific details that shocks Yuffie and Sonon.

I found the answer for how "Cloud keep his sword on his back?" So the answer I found is ,there is a strong magnet affixed to the back of his suspenders or pauldron on his right shoulder which prevents it's from moving too much as he walks ,runs etc.

I always kept Sonon at max HP because if Yuffie fell, Sonon sacrifices his HP to her and then just hit him with a quick Pheonix down and top him off.

They should of roughed scarlet up a little based on the BS she put everyone thru. She was wayy to confident after getting tied up lol. A good yuffie smack would have been great maybe a ode to the Tifa smack from OG

I don't think that Shinra executives care about playing fair so long as they win.

That Scarlet is such a scheming witch that's for sure.

I don't know what you're talking about when you say you say you're still sketchy on the combat. You coulda fooled me! There was a huge noticeable improvement. As soon as you remembered you had the Cannonball materia equipped, you were using synergized attacks left and right! You picked up on the fact that Sonon's fire elemental was the cause behind the immunities that were popping up. You even remembered in the middle of a crazy boss fight to use Sonon's ATB first before using the Cannonball because the move fills his ATB! You're becoming a pro! Just don't forget about Yuffie's Brumal Form dodge. It can be a big help in tight spots and it also refills half of an ATB so it essentially only costs you half an ATB charge to use it.

Man just think if Scarlett was able to mass produce the Mare

Scarlett doesn't pilot, she just sits and rests on her elbows. if the robot is automatic she doesnt need to risk herself

Boy does that bring back memories. That was my introduction to Final Fantasy 7, back when Sephiroth, Cloud, Yuffie, Tifa, and a few others were mostly what I knew of the characters and when most of the Shinra higher-ups were just names in subtitles. I am curious to see how they will connect this to the remake since I think that DEEPGROUND is unlikely to remain outside of events until things are over as they presumably did in the original.

Hey Bri, Nero and Wei’s are from Crisis Core and more so the other old FF7 spin-off game, Dirge of Cerberus which was a story heavily focused on Yufie and Vincent. You can look up info on their original storylines on KZread or fan Wikis, however, you may want to finish this game first. When I looked up who they were a major piece of Interlude’s Finale was spoiled for me. :(
