This is a reason, why that wrenches cost 2 euro. You can buy wrenches from great European/US factory, where all of workers have a good salary and OSHA is a fundamental law, but you must pay 15 euro

@@Leopoldino2020 They are those tools you buy really cheap, then you realise there is no such thing as an off-brand cheap tool, cheap tools break before the repair is done. I noticed these tools weren't even drop forged, and the steel was very workable, like mild steel. I mostly buy Mastercraft tools at Canadian tire, cheap, but good, and if a hand tools breaks, it's replaced with a new one, no receipt needed.

Это прототип, но не инструмент. После первого сгибания металл в месте сгиба ослаблен. При откручивании закисшего крепежа ты его свернешь ключ в месте сгиба, или просто провернешь в головке. Качество металла видно на последнем шаге производства - если он вот так ударом молотка расклёпывает отверстие под шарик, то это даже не инструментальная сталь, а сыромятина.

@@Seamonkey292 This kind of safety isn't his choice. I would bet that he doesn't even know it's a health risk (his employer isn't going to tell him!). His employer is unlikely to pay for the filter masks so it would be out of pocket and likely taking food off his plate. And that's assuming that the required equip is available where he is. So it probably isn't a choice for him sadly.

I went down there one afternoon and grabbed a ball peen hammer, imitation channel locks, a 2” bit set and an automatic Centre punch which outlasted my starette automatic Centre punch. This was 22 years ago. I still have and use them to this day.

Это пробник инструмента. Без термообработки и обычной стали этими ключами можно собирать только конструктор Lego. Хороший инструмент это wera и knipex, уверен что там совсем другие условия работы.

I was actually surprised to see that they didn’t look so bad. Although the knurling machine looked a bit scary and the kids polishing the wrenches probably should be wearing masks (maybe particulate metal/rust/ceramics isn’t so bad for lungs, we didn’t wear masks in my machine shop but we weren’t polishing straight 8+ hrs a day).

The square ends are swaged, which is a “lite” version of forging. Each introduces complex stresses into the material, which makes it very tough. However, I wouldn’t hold my breath as to the quality of these tools. Not taking away any of the skills of the workers, the production environment is incredibly primitive. It’s not a place that is capable of producing high-end tools.

Спасибо за ролик. Здесь твердости не более 5...7 HRC. Сначала выполняются Мех. обработка , штамповка, закалка, пескоструй, а затем цинк. хром. Используется два вида сталей, хромо-ванадиевая и хромо-молибденовая (высокопрочная). Все тех. процессы как правило заканчиваются закалкой и шлифовкой если это необходимо. Есть вариант, когда вначале закалка (улучшение до HRC 26...32 ), затем мех. обработка. штамповку уже не делают.

Not to mention in the US they would have safety glasses/shoes/boots/gloves/face-shields/respiratory protection/stable-clean-work area and all the other benefits this video shows that are clearly lacking. It's great that in a poor/low tech environment that they can make a living but the conditions they work in should never be celebrated.

The way it was explained to me by an engineer that I used to work with from there was that it's just part of the way that they do things in India and Pakistan... They have so many people that they don't want to automate things... By not modernizing, they are able to keep more people employed... Unfortunately, it carries over to their engineers who come here also... Manages like it because they are cheaper and can hire more of them since the manager can now say that he headed a project team with a larger number of people (which looks good on his resume for future positions)...

This is a reason, why that wrenches cost 2 euro. You can buy wrenches from great European/US factory, where all of workers have a good salary and OSHA is a fundamental law, but you must pay 15 euro

@@Leopoldino2020 They are those tools you buy really cheap, then you realise there is no such thing as an off-brand cheap tool, cheap tools break before the repair is done. I noticed these tools weren't even drop forged, and the steel was very workable, like mild steel. I mostly buy Mastercraft tools at Canadian tire, cheap, but good, and if a hand tools breaks, it's replaced with a new one, no receipt needed.

Это прототип, но не инструмент. После первого сгибания металл в месте сгиба ослаблен. При откручивании закисшего крепежа ты его свернешь ключ в месте сгиба, или просто провернешь в головке. Качество металла видно на последнем шаге производства - если он вот так ударом молотка расклёпывает отверстие под шарик, то это даже не инструментальная сталь, а сыромятина.

@@Seamonkey292 This kind of safety isn't his choice. I would bet that he doesn't even know it's a health risk (his employer isn't going to tell him!). His employer is unlikely to pay for the filter masks so it would be out of pocket and likely taking food off his plate. And that's assuming that the required equip is available where he is. So it probably isn't a choice for him sadly.

@@4smereka believe it or not. When I first started work at my current job. I used to buy tools at Sears and Canadian tire until someone told me about Princess auto. I went down there one afternoon and grabbed a ball peen hammer, imitation channel locks, a 2” bit set and an automatic Centre punch which outlasted my starette automatic Centre punch. This was 22 years ago. I still have and use them to this day.

Это пробник инструмента. Без термообработки и обычной стали этими ключами можно собирать только конструктор Lego. Хороший инструмент это wera и knipex, уверен что там совсем другие условия работы.

Да там длина воротка 20-25 см. Попробуйте его согнуть. Даже если из простого метала.

I was actually surprised to see that they didn’t look so bad. Although the knurling machine looked a bit scary and the kids polishing the wrenches probably should be wearing masks (maybe particulate metal/rust/ceramics isn’t so bad for lungs, we didn’t wear masks in my machine shop but we weren’t polishing straight 8+ hrs a day).

The square ends are swaged, which is a “lite” version of forging. Each introduces complex stresses into the material, which makes it very tough. However, I wouldn’t hold my breath as to the quality of these tools. Not taking away any of the skills of the workers, the production environment is incredibly primitive. It’s not a place that is capable of producing high-end tools.

best extension, not made from Asia , i had for 15 years still perfect
I dont need a wrench but after watching this I feel the need to buy one just cause they worked so hard on them.

I have one of the same model "Made in India" ($5USD, $100 mexican pesos). And have been using it to pre-torque tire bolts without an issue. One work and it pays for itself.

Спасибо за ролик. Здесь твердости не более 5...7 HRC. Сначала выполняются Мех. обработка , штамповка, закалка, пескоструй, а затем цинк. хром. Используется два вида сталей, хромо-ванадиевая и хромо-молибденовая (высокопрочная). Все тех. процессы как правило заканчиваются закалкой и шлифовкой если это необходимо. Есть вариант, когда вначале закалка (улучшение до HRC 26...32 ), затем мех. обработка. штамповку уже не делают.

Not to mention in the US they would have safety glasses/shoes/boots/gloves/face-shields/respiratory protection/stable-clean-work area and all the other benefits this video shows that are clearly lacking. It's great that in a poor/low tech environment that they can make a living but the conditions they work in should never be celebrated.

The way it was explained to me by an engineer that I used to work with from there was that it's just part of the way that they do things in India and Pakistan... They have so many people that they don't want to automate things... By not modernizing, they are able to keep more people employed... Unfortunately, it carries over to their engineers who come here also... Manages like it because they are cheaper and can hire more of them since the manager can now say that he headed a project team with a larger number of people (which looks good on his resume for future positions)...

I don't have a big problem with the lack of modernization - as you say, the labour is cheaper than the automation. But the lack of respect for their health is very troubling.

@@frenky29a Definitely India/Pakistan but that method is so labor-intensive and likely hasn't been used in the West for 100 years. Having said that, those are damn good wrenches and I'd buy one.

I sure didn't see a spring... I guess the ball bearings don't even retract nonfunctional, they just put it in there so it looks like the real thing.

@@xl000 Hard as in physical labor is not good on the body not so much the difficulty. Years of it will break down your body rapidly, especially in unsafe and unclean environments.
