Dinah Dean's books are like that! The next one is called The Country Cousins... look for it in about 6 weeks!
Thank you for voicing this story and bringing it to life. Also I was glad to be made aware of a new author for me. I noticed that the copyrite was 1985. This is long before I became a fan of regency stories. Thank you and I’ll look forward to the next story.

Some of the 'vintage' Regency is absolutely wonderful. Mid-1980s was when I started reading it and I loved Dinah Dean and Sylvia Sark. Most of these older books aren't audiobooks, sadly, and may never be, but I'm glad to do my small part for this author's works!
Well written and entertaining without all the unnecessary drama and sex.

Thank you Catherine for this. Thank you Dinah for such a delightful descriptive story. What amuses me the most is that Mrs Calvert, supposedly an interfering matchmaking Mama, is absolutely clueless that Mr Harris is lavishing so much attention on her daughter. Instead she keeps despairing over Lucinda’s inability to attract any gentleman, even when he sends red roses. How droll. Can we have the pleasure of others in this series please.
