Oscar's fake fob accent was so cringe. Absolutely agree that Tofiga should have been casted for the role. Taika has his head up the Hollywood hole, it's not surprising the negative spin. Thanks for covering this.

As a Tongan I’m proud af seeing Tama Tonga in WWE but it made me think about the Samoan dynasty and legacy that goes hand in hand with wrestling. Shout out to the Usos for being at the forefront of Polynesian excellence! Would love to see an episode talking about that.

First of all what exactly makes that movie "woke"? And can you please tell me the true definition of "woke" please? Matter of fact i can tell by your comment that you dont know what woke actually means and you use that word because your a Meer sheep who let's his fingers go without full knowledge on the comments he types!!!! Please bolo go and educate yourself on that word because the way you used and probably use in your daily life is the version that has been misconstrued by right wing political media to flip a once positive meaning in to a demeaning one!!! 👊🏿👊🏿

It’s too much of a slippery slope if we make excuses for a brother stealing. Isn’t that accepting mediocrity? Next minute we’re marching in the streets defending wrong doing too. Glad he was called out by one of us. But help him up too (if he wants it). As for that movie, so agree. Agenda driven 100% that’s just from the shorts. I was wondering about the lack of our own people commenting on posts about the movie. It was crickets. And now hearing about the anti Christian message, nail in the coffin. Glad Tofiga wasn’t in it. Thanks guys for the heads up. Loved Cool Runnings. It’s The Orator in top tier Samoan films for me.

@@dannyaumua106 still full of stereotypes and demeaning Jamaicans. Like, Sanka, is a full on mock of Jamaicans. But if you only looked at it that way then you would see the rest of the story. Same as next goal wins. Does Taika mock Christianity? Yes. Is it a comedy, yes. Does it also show the coach have his own coming to Jesus/spirituality moment when he attends church? When he’s atop the mountain and observes lotu? Does it reinforce stereotypes of the team being no good? Yes. Did that happen in real life? Yes. Did the team turn it around? Yes. Did the coach also speak on behalf of the team and the people of the island as hard workers and making sacrifices? Yes that happens too. But ya don’t see it if you’re caught up in your feels about the other stuff. I think this “criticism” is more cynicism

This is a comedy movie uso’s, it’s not supposed to be taken seriously. Comedy is jokes, exaggeration, inaccuracies, taking the piss out of subjects, people, stories, it’s a classic Taika flavour comedy, have you seen Jojo Rabbit they are taking the piss out of Hitler and WW2 (And that’s a touchy subject) but it’s humorous. So if you’re going to take it seriously and think it should have been a certain way, you’re watching the wrong genre. You guys talk about Brotown and say it made us look bad, guys it’s comedy. If you’ve seen the Dave Chappell show he takes the piss out of the whole black culture, it was comedy gold. I’m a proud Samoan but I know a comedy is not going to be an accurate representation of my culture. It’s just Comedy that’s it.

Yeah I watched it as a comedy movie not a true story. And with comedy there is going to be things that offend and mock. So we’re just out here making excuses for this behaviour? Whether it’s a corporation or not is far from the point. It’s ugly and for somebody always trying to race bait like Eliota this doesn’t help us at all. Our parents/grandparents moved here for us to have better lives, our choices define us not anything else, anything else is an excuse end of story. We all have a story but our actions dictate our outcome in both this life and the next.
