    My husband loves the 1/3 lb hamburgers ….. he would love 1/2 lb burgers if they were available!! On the other hand, I feel they are entirely too large for anyone, but it’s certainly not my place to tell anyone what to eat. Personally, I don’t eat many burgers but when I do, I enjoy it and definitely prefer they never be over 1/4 lb.

    If nothing else, stopping people at the door and checking their receipt is a deterrent. Retail stores have had to watch their inventories walk out the door for years. If you are offended by the company checking your receipt in an attempt to slow down the pilferage … why? They need to do what is necessary and control their inventory losses.

    Used to work at Costco, even I didn't know that about the receipt thing. It doesn't surprise me at all though, pretty much 99% of our training was about how to treat members with respect and courtesy. A lot of our job was to make the experience as pleasant and helpful for the members as possible on top of the normal grocery maintenance routine. I remember my supervisor once told me "if a customer just wants you to walk them around the store and talk to them for 30 minutes, do it." Also, the idea that somebody felt so offended about being receipt checked that they wrote an article about it is hilarious lol, that's ridiculous.

    I’m sick of Costco slapping on a “Prime” sticker on their briskets. There is no such thing as a Prime brisket, by USDA definition. In fact the USDA only accepts that there are seven primal cuts and not a single cut comes from the front legs area.

  • @blackvar0

    @blackvar0

    You are very wrong. So wrong I wonder if you're trolling. The prime rating means that the carcass was graded as Prime by a USDA inspector at harvest, so all cuts from that carcass would be graded Prime, and the brisket is a primal cut, as well as the shank, both from the forend of the animal
