We were in Pattaya beach a few years back and there were many dead jelly fish on the beach so we didn't step into the water. If I plan to stay in Thailand for a long while I probably prefer a more quiet and less crowded place. Like your videos.

You see many dead jellyfish due to the tide changing direction. It is a large amount of fresh water flowing from rivers into the sea. As a result, the jellyfish were unable to adjust to the water conditions in time, so they died.
I've been visiting Thailand/ Pattaya, twice a year for the last 18 years. Pricing of accommodation has only increased by about 15% , but the cost of supermarket food is off the Richter scale. Even the cost of fruit juices are comparable to Western Europe, which is totally shocking, considering most of it can be grown locally and the farmers are paid pittance for their toil.

Pattaya is pretty popular because of price and the action. I spent 3 and a half months on the island of Phuket, Potong to be exact. The beaches are a hell of a lot nicer on the Phuket that's for sure, but, it's also a lot more expensive. If you go to Potong, go to Bang la road, lots of action.
Love it!

Hej Will! Long time Cool!!!!
Great Video! I stayed on the 29th floor of that same building in that same room type with same view for 3 weeks last month through New Years Eve! I enjoyed that roof top pool every morning and met a couple great new friends there. I'm sure you are gone now but there is a grocery store right behind that 7-11 you were at and for 10 Baht, you could have went down 2nd street to The Bic C Supercenter on the truck/bus. Anyway, was hoping to see some clips of LK Metro and Soi Buakhao that were right behind The Base as I thought it was a much better and a lot more of a fun place than Walking Street. I also didn't think much of the beach there, I will have to stick to Phuket/Krabi in the future as well. Going to retire to Thailand in the next few years so came to see the condos there as well as Jomtien and Phra Tamnak Hill but again, will be sticking to the south after this past trip to this area. Anyway, thanks for the video, you do a great job with coverage/editing. Keep up the great work.
I am happy to see you in good shape!!!
Thanks William. Almost to 100k, ready for party!
Great video, William! There is a lady that is on KZread from the US she is married to a Thai man, and they own a restaurant somewhere on the beach over there. I'm not sure exactly where, but she seems really sweet. Her you tube channel is called Lily's Life I believe. Keep your videos coming. I really enjoy your travels lol I'm living my best life through you, hahaha
you should hit 100k in this area.

Awesome Video William 🙂👍Watching from NB Canada🙂
LOL, I was staying at The Base about 3 weeks ago for 10 days. AMAZING location. Would def stay there again. LOL and I'm pretty sure the example you listed for 15,000baht/month was the exact unit I had. I went to Phuket for 10 days afterwards and can confirm the water is much nicer however Phuket is noticeably more expensive.
Excellent video's Khun William, I love Pattaya, been visiting for years, its ranked as the #7th most visited city in the world, so you are definitely in an up and coming destination. Pattaya has changed for the better and once the High Speed Rail line is finished in few more years that will really open up the place, lots of improvements and the Thai government has done an amazing job promoting the city to foreign tourist. The EDGE and BASE are excellent projects built by the same developer and super location. I want to buy a unit in either the BASE or EDGE, there are lots of great condo's in Pattaya so its a bit of a tough job but your definitely helping, wonder how much one of those units cost? GR8 video.

Hi William, fantastic to see you back in Thailand the land of smiles. A question? What is ghe size of your backpack 50ltrs?And do you have many problems getting it on as carryon? I am about to hit SE asia and want to travel light as you do. I am in Pattaya later in February.
LOVED YOUR DRONE SHOTS .I first went to Pattaya in 2003 .There were none of those super high buildings there then that i remember .Plenty up to 15 floors .I usually stay in Jomtien and will be there again from Ireland in 2 weeks time please God .Lets be honest the sea water in Pattaya is dirty but you can take a boat out to Ko Larn ,B35 and 45 minutes to beautiful clear water and beaches .Glad to see you back to good health .Saw your video from Mexico where you were very sick .That was about a year ago ? .If you want a house and pool there are villas in Jomtien with such at a price .They would be much cheaper though on the so called dark side that is the other side of the main highway ,Sukhumvit road .If you are just renting for a short time it may not matter .
World class food and lots of things too do. Affordable living. Most bang for your buck in Thailand overall.
Hi William. Go to the islands,, Kho Tao, Kho Samui, Kho Lanta, etc. and even Ao Nang in Kabi, beautiful places, more than Pattaya.
Go Koh Kood. Best island
Hola from Puerto Escondido , Oaxaca, Mex. Enjoyed your video and love the place in Pattawa, nice appartments and good food,,,, R U going to get a massage ???🖖 just kidding take care
I ll be there myself at the end of next week. My number one concern though is getting around to get set up, as my mobility is currently limited by pain that ranges from a slight limp to significant issues walking anywhere. 40 years old and already gimping around like I m 80 :D However, I am hoping that if I push through a few days, I can find a place there nicely located close to food, a gym for my attempt at rehab, and a couple bars. That place you showed is beautiful, but maybe a bit too disconnected for me personally.
I rented a house with 2 bedrooms and a large outdoor area with chairs and tables. it cost me 3000 baht a month it is about 20 minutes from central Pattaya. Food prices were about 30% lower, a Baht bus costs 20 Baht.
Can’t wait to go house hunting with you
Check out ko Chang. It’s more built up but not nearly as much as Phuket. There are a few smaller islands south of it.
very cheap and nice...
sai kaew beach in sattahip is really nice with good water. Bangsarey beach is also calmer than pattaya amd jomtien beach. I don't like pattaya beach or jomtien beach, it's too crowded and not so nice. Go more south of pattaya, then u will see some good nice beaches. Further south are also some nice islands like koh samet, koh chang or koh kood...
William me and my mum watch all of your videos and we have so much fun please keep up the amazing work love your vids
