How to make a light and crunchy falafel recipe for the best falafel sandwich. Crunchy vegetarian chickpea balls.

Two cups of chickpeas
Soak in water for 12 hours or longer
Drain the water
Onion
One fourth of a cup of parsley coriander
Four sliced garlic cloves
Mix it
Blend
Add a little bit of water
This should be the consistency
One tsp of coriander
One tsp of cumin
One fourth of a tsp of baking soda
Salt to taste
Mix everything
Shape the falafel with a mold or use your hands
Press on the sides
Poke a hole in the center
Hot cooking oil on medium heat

What a classic video no wierd background music no moving hard to follow camera no BS story just pure taste
Tried them for the first time they are delicious!! Instead I put them in the oven and put (1/4 cup)of oil in the mixture and bake them at 200C for 40 min ,for a healthier version and they came out great 😊

Hello, quick question; did you stop the oven half way to flip them? This might be a no-brainer but I am quite bad at cooking haha

@@reichigo it’s okay,depends on your oven.Mine has an up and down heating system so no but I guess cook and tell !

@Belltown Daisy : I suggest you try Samir's Mediterranean Grill in the U District. I think he makes very good falafel. He’s also a wonderful guy. He and his family have been in business for nearly 40 years.

I make it half & half with cooked chickpeas and cooked potato and 1 raw egg. It's much better, it's not so dry like the above.

my favourite one is just the chickpeas onion garlic coriander and salt . Falafel absolutely doesn’t need anyyy spices . all the flavours come from the actual ingredients . try it and you will get the real falafel flavour
I am from Azerbaijan, this year I found out this middle eastern cuisine I really loved it will cook more by this video thanks a lot

I cooked these in my Breville air fryer oven with no oil and they turned out great! Crispy on outside and soft in middle. I set the temp to 425C and airfried for 20 mins.

My employer's brother makes this all the time as an appetizer in the restaurant we work at. He is a master at it. I tried some and I really enjoy it. It's mainly an Italian American restaurant but we also serve Middle Eastern food as well.
