I love the new rule. 6min is not a good rule let's be honest. It's should be about playing as good of a game with a cheese. Forcing you to leave while you obviously have a huge huge advantage after a cheese is impractical and pure nonsense, no one would throw in their towel after they get massively ahead. Happy for this new rule.

uThermal content is about 10 percent of my life, and 100% of my spare time.

We definitely need season 3. This one is my favorite series by far.

Honestly the rap god level commentary *while* playing is almost more impressive than thermy's actual level of play itself. If i'm focused on a game i can barely speak lmao. Not to mention its not even his native language (i assume)

16:31 mark could of contaminated and delayed a factory production for 21 seconds in this assault it would of increased his aibltiy to push way better. 21 seconds is an eternity when under attack.

Absolutely epic! I can't believe you missed out on a draw cause you didn't notice the Nexus you where attacking! Loved the new; not giving up on games you can clearly win, just not within 6min. If your cheese is countred, try another one, don't give up! Tho you may want to keep track of how many games you do still win in under 6min :) Can't wait for season 3 :)

So much more enjoyable to watch the muta follow up than a doomed drone pull, loving every change to the format!

As if torturing noobz is a career. Static macro? Most annoying T strat ever. I'll ragequit rather than waste an hour of my life getting choked out. Listen: 2 mdivacs, 2 marauders, x gyrines, drop the mineral line and just end it. Love it btw, play starcraft, bitch! 🍉

It would be neat if SC2 had a command that random players can enter for the game to announce what their race is when playing randomly. Still, leave it up to the player to decide if they want to reveal that information, but have the command that makes the game announce it adds that validity- even have the command adjust the versus tab in the top right.

Definitively my favorite serie alongside proxy hatch! Maybe a great rule could be that you are not allowed to take a third base. This would force you to be cheesy even if you don't have a timer on your shoulders

New rule is good. I mean, if a cheese fails, we know it. And you know that we know. And your reputation of a honest streamer is your major asset, so you wouldn't waste your reputation. Thank you for the show.

Beware, you will get pretty slow, once you are 40+ y.o. Plan your career switch. Please, don't take it as a curse, I've been in this thirties-fourties transition. And I was demoted from top masters to low silver league. Not a biggy for me, since this was just a hobby.

You should enter a tourney with your Terran only to switch to Zerg and proxy hatch your opponent for a random game in the series.

47:47 this ending was so silly (but who hasnt done it).. you just had to leave the mines around the nexus and he would have walked right into them......... you had the winning position, but you gave it away to look for a Nexus that wasn't

You make this game look so simple. Don't get me wrong, I know you're very skilled, but your game play shows me that, a lot of times when I'm playing... I'm *way* over thinking every decision. I guess I tend to forget that I'm playing against another human who is just as capable as I am of mistakes.

Really enjoyed the rule change, commented before I felt like zerg should just keep swarming, worker pulls felt more like a terran thing because you can repair with them in the fights. So long as you're frequently attacking the spirit of cheese is alive and well!

@uThermal speedrun to gm by any means, no restrictions. Total time spent in game is the end score.

For speedrunning: why not change the rule to: after 5 (or 6?) minutes you can only build units, supply structures, or offensive buildings. No unit producing structures, no new expansions and no upgrade buildings. You can still mine, you can still get upgrades, play out your games, but your strategy has to be set in stone very early so strategically you will still need to plan an all-out early attack. (We would probably see you start a lot of factories, starports and armories at 4:59).

These situations you get into tense up my shoulders and neck. what the heck do you do that helps you stay relaxed and easy when playing matches, sheeesh

idk, for me the concept behind speedrunning was to win as fast as possible, and the worker pull rule was to enforce that if you didn't win fast enough, it was sure to count as a loss. if i recall correctly, the original goal was 5 mins, but it turned out that 6 min timings matched the games better than an arbitrary 5 mins. to me part of pulling your workers is to either encourage you to be creative with your 6min strat, or to admit that you didn't "speedrun", so it counts as a loss for the challenge, even if you got an advantage and could win a macro game. it's frustrating to accept losses like that, but is it about winning the games, or winning the challenge? personally, it seems to me like you don't want to "give up the w", but the challenge is to make sure you take the w by force within the time limit. in the end it's your challenges for your fun, so you'll do as you please ofc, but i'd rather not see you make excuses to change your challenge just to get wins when we all know that you could win with the gloves off. ig the first season of speedrunning was actually "seeing how short of time it takes a pro to reach grandmaster level" and it wasn't about cheese or time limits at all, so... le shrug.

Hey Uthermal may suggestion. I like this series because you can watch a lot of games fast. So have a mulligan system you get 3 mulligans a play session. How the work is like the 1st one give you 4 minutes, the 2nd 5 min, the 3rd 6 min.

At 9 minutes thermy starts game 3. AND THERE ARE 40+ MINUTES LEFT OF THERMY GOODNESS❤

after watching you and Pigs channel i made a minor come back to sc2 and had to play 1 game a day til ranked was unlocked which gave me a lot of zerg practice then by the time ranked was unlocked i stayed in masters for quite a while and then i stopped playing for a month or two and new season hit and i can't remember jack shit i have to relearn all over again and idk if i have it in me :(
