[Verse 1] Come get your sleep And wait, breathe deep 'Cause when this all fill your lungs It'll feel just like you're a sinking stone Oh, it happened to us all When we lose control We lose control We lose control The life that you chose Where the dirt cloaks your bones [Chorus] And I know it feels like you're drowning these days And I know you question if it's too late And my only hope is that you choose to stay 'Cause you're more than You're more than an early grave [Post-Chorus] You're more than an early grave [Verse 2] Does it feel like your sinking? (Don't sink, don't sink) The hurt that you show In every word you that you spoke [Chorus] And I know it feels like you're drowning these days And I know you question if it's too late And my only hope is that you choose to stay [Bridge] Don't be too proud to say That you are alone, lost and afraid Think about your pride Just know your doubt's misplaced [Chorus] I know it feels like you're drowning these days I know you feel like you can't be saved And my only hope is that you choose to stay [Chorus] And I know it feels like you're drowning these days And I know you question if it's too late And my only hope is that you choose to stay 'Cause you're more than You're more than More than an early grave More than an early grave You're more than an early grave

Makes me happy to see some older people with great taste in music. Always wonder what ill look like blasting albums like this, and where ill be in life when im 50 lol. Ive occasionally chatted music with older dudes that've said, "man i remember when kill em all came out, shit blew my mind!" and "man i stood in line to get the 'and justice' vinyl back in the late 80's". Then it hits me that before i even know it, this will all be "20 years ago" for me and someday ill probably have a similar conversation with a younger dude whose just discovered the Contortiinist, or see a young dude wearing a Periphery shirt. Kinda trippy but still cool to think about. Cheers guys 🍻🍻

Wow. The lyrics hit hard. Having recently had someone I thought was a very close friend cut me out of their life completely, at the same time as being stuck doing something I hate at work, I definitely felt like I was drowning. Whenever I go through deep depressions I feel the same way, but despite the pain I've been through, and the fact that I've never really known a period of happiness, I know it's coming, and I'm happy that I always choose to stay. Thank you Contortionist. Wish it was a full album instead of just an EP, but it'll be a beautiful EP no doubt

I'm convinced these guys are incapable of making a bad song. It's been so awesome experiencing their music as they've evolved as a band. Each song has become an experience. Their sound is almost symphonic, allowing the listener to immerse themselves into a world where the music becomes transcendent. Their music has these complex laters of sound, that complement each other in a way that almost ethereal, yet still exudes power.

I have always heard about how amazing Contortionist is, and just recently I found that's completely true. My father has passed away this week and all I could listen to these days is this band. "Language" was one of the reasons I could keep going through this moment. There are no words to be said that can express my thankfulness. Thank you. Best regards from Brazil

Im having trouble everyday trying to decide whether to stay or leave. I lost almost everything in a blink. And its a void that might never be filled. Ive learned to appreciate moments like these because as bleak as it is my heart gets a few minutes of peace. I may not be around for much longer but songs and moments like this one and and a few others were appreciated and loved immensely for the time i was. Thank you guys.

This song is just unbelievable...this band is perfect. I’m sorry. But it’s true. The Contortionist have truly found their sound and they blow out most bands trying to bring a “Tool” vibe. But this is band is one of a kind. Diamond in the Rough. I really hope this gets the recognition it deserves.

I got an opportunity to meet these dudes on their VIP Clairvoyant tour. They played us the new EP (or what it was in Nov of 2018), and no one had any words when it ended. I'm sure we all felt the same way; awestruck to have been in a room of musically like-minded folk that got to hear something together for the first time, that jived with all of us. Hope to see you boys again soon, it was an honor sharing a stage even for a night!!

I've been listening to you guys since Exoplanet, and I have a hard time with change. But you guys always manage to head a direction that I end up falling in love with. I don't say this for sympathy from anyone at all, but I lost my older brother to suicide last year. And hearing this song at a time while I'm struggling with it a lot has been some kind of unintentional blessing. To those who have lost someone close to them by their own hand, I am sincerely sorry for your loss. They are resting easier and I hope you're doing okay carrying their pain for them. To those who are considering leaving your loved ones with an early grave, I want you to consider what you're doing for just one moment. Think about the people who you think don't care finding you left them like that. The way your family will react when they get that call in the middle of the night. How your friends will never be able to recover from your absence. You are truly loved and your friends and family want to help. Extend a hand and someone will grab it. To the brothers or sisters, sons and daughters, you will be missed like you could never possibly imagine without being on the other side. Thanks again guys for making such an amazing track. Repeat button for life.

This Is so incredibile...in a really difficoult moment of my life (not the first, not the last) this song came to me, exactly while i was thinking about my life, feeling so much loneliness, disappointment and so much other sad things. This lyric litterally talks with me, answering to my questions, talking to me about what i'm feeling now. And after this i've decided to start, in my university, a sort of "help service" for all the students, calling some psychologist, explaining to all the guys what mean to feel youself lonely and lost, how It can be normal today and how to work together to help each other. Thanks to you, from the next year, maybe i'll be able to help many people not to feel theirself only an early grave. Thanks.
