    Rory is actually a good ghost, he was a victim of the past and everything that had happened. That's why he befriended the youngest daughter, April, because ghosts like Rory (younger ones or the same age) usually show themselves to little kids and mean no harm (my elder sister experienced the same thing when she was 5, she had a "friend" who was a boy and the same age as her; same exact birthday. Though she and mediums are the only ones who can see him). That's also why Rory was showing/leading the other daughter to his hiding spot, where he felt safe.

    Fun fact: Apparently in reality, the Warrens actually made the situation worse. The family said that their seance caused the mother to get flung around and she nearly broke her neck. The father screamed at the Warrens to get out and leave. The mother was able to stablise, and the family just abandoned the house. To this day, the house is still supposedly VERY haunted. Also apparently the film cut out a lot of scary appearances that the family said they experienced. Another fun fact: The real Annabelle doll isn't a freaky af ceramic doll. It's just a regular Raggedy Anne doll and it looks very cute! Which honeslty, imo makes it even scarier.

    So, do you just make stuff up man? The Warrens visited the Perron family MULTIPLE times over the period of about a month. The last time Lorraine was there they did perform a Seance which then transferred into an Exorcism. The Seance, which was the family’s idea, was done to contact Bathsheba. The mother was aware of her presence and her name BEFORE Lorraine and Ed stepped in. During the Seance, Bathsheba began to communicate through the mother in languages that she did not know. She also spoke in multiple voices and tones. The chair she was in lifted about 3-4 inches off of the ground, and then slammed back down. Ed Warren, even though he is now gone, is the ONLY person the church has approved to perform exorcisms. He began, and completed a short “blessing exorcism” to remove Bathsheba from her body, and property. When they completed EVERYONE in the family stated it was like a weight lifted off of their chests. Ed and Lorraine’s policy, post-blessing and especially post-exorcism, is to not return unless there is a genuine emergency. They were not asked not to return, they never had to return. Also, the family did not run from the house. They actually lived there for quite some time longer, with NO further complaints of ANY hauntings. They had to sell the house before they could leave, it took almost a year. While everyone in the family was emotionally damaged, the only physical damage was a few bruises and that still could’ve been due to her Iron Deficiency. The Warrens didn’t make the situation worse, actually looking back at their entire caseload they never made ONE situation worse. I had the honor of bumping into Lorraine before she passed away, just at a local bookshop, she filled the entire place with warmth and love. She also knew things that nobody knew, not even me about my life. She was more than a gem, she was truly an inspiration and angel. I suggest mate that you do PROPER research before making these wild statements, anyone can post anything on any website. View the case files, find the recordings, but don’t just trust Joe from themoreyouknow.com 😂

    The Conjuring 2 is great; 3 is more suspenseful than horror, but still worth a watch. I have only seen the first Annabelle and didn’t care for it for traumatic reasons. I was told the other Annabelles were better, but I’ve sworn them off. The Nun was creepy and I think they just released the second one, maybe. Even if you don’t do the entire Conjuring universe, at least do number 2. A solid sequel, imo.

    When I was growing up, my family would play hide and seek in the dark when everyone came together for a visit (like the summer). It was so fun. There was a gothic-type church across the street from my aunt's house that we used to play it at (with the church's permission, we never caused damage). Everyone would stand together in the parking lot, the seeker would cover their eyes and count, while everyone else scattered. No flashlights, no phones, nothing.. some of the best memories.

    Actually that’s not true. Lorraine blamed Bathsheba for the whole thing but in reality Bathsheba was never accused of being a witch, nor was she related to one she was however friend with Elizabeth Arnold (one of the family members of the Old Arnold Estate which is what the whole property is known as.) In reality, the evil spirit that causes the haunting was what the family called “The Woman with the Broken Neck” and Carolyn even admitted that the spirit was the one who caused her harm

    The movie is pretty faithful to the actual story. Being a movie there were some things changed to make it cinematic. They said the actually story was even more terrifying then what was told in the movie. Also in real life the story didn’t end with the Warrens saving the day. In reality the Warrens made things worse and conducted a seance which went horrible and ended with Roger Perron (the father) punching Ed Warren and kicking them out of their house. They then continued living there for another eight years dealing with the negative effects of the Warrens trying to help.

    @@amandavanderbilt3949I know that however just in general in real life cases…..they can’t automatically be declared as paranormal. In this movie obviously it was something paranormal causing them however, in real life they could be seen as just randomly getting hurt badly like falling down the stairs, or if an actual person had hit her enough times, or even something medical. Carolyn at first thought it was a medical condition that she had because she didn’t know that spirits can physically harm a person.

    fun fact about the movie: this movie is actually nothing compared to what actually happened in the real conjuring house. one of the daughters of the Parron family Andrea wrote a book about her experience in the house and what she witnessed. the directors of this movie couldn’t put even half of the things that happened in real life in the movie because it was way too dark and sinister. this is one of Ed and Lorraine’s most famous cases and in real life, they did nothing but make it worse. they caused the mother to speak in an ancient language and levitate and fly 20ft across the room and she was believed to have died but she didn’t. Andrea parron also has spoke about this incident as she witnessed it with her youngest sister. the house is still extremely haunted but there aren’t as many negative entities in the house as people believe. there are a few but mainly the spirits there just want to be left alone or they like talking.

And for anyone who might think that just leaving it as is would be the solution I got news for you. It will only get worse. Entities feed off of negative emotions so they will constantly instigate things to get people scared or angry. And with evil ones like in this movie they can go really far. Just my 2 cents speaking from my experience.

    You asked what can a ghost do to you? Well a lot. I've had them in my life from birth, They have physically intervened when I was being attacked, saved my family and I from a deadly car crash. A spirit taught me to play the piano, sounds weird, I know. I have many stories of experiences with the paranormal I've had. Only 1 was negative and it almost paralyzed me. I was standing looking at something on my phone when I felt 2 hands grab my shoulders and press down hard, I said "stop it!" He answered "shhh let it happen, you can't stop me" I started crying out of fear. All of the sudden I couldn't move my body, I couldn't bend my knees or put my arms behind me to try to learn the impact. I fell backwards so that I landed in a sitting position and landed hard on my butt, the force in which I landed made no sense considering the short distance I fell. Then he put his hands on my chest and with extreme force he pushed me down and then it was like a large hammer came through the floor and hit me in the back, the pain was excruciating and I heard something crack in my back and a new fear surfaced, "Am I paralyzed" I thought and slowly tried to move my toes, thankfully I could move everything. I got an sms from the cab driver that was picking me up to go to work and with screaming and crying I managed to stand up and walk down 2 floors. When the can driver saw me he wanted to call for an ambulance. I told him I could slide on the seat and he could drive me to the ER. he agreed and got me to the hospital. Turns out that a vertebra was fractured, I spent a month in a rehabilitation hospital.

    Rory's mother killed him, then killed herself. Bathsheba killed her new born. I believe all of you fail to realize this is based on actual events. This is not a typical Hollywood horror movie.

    Guys, I’m glad you all go into The Conjuring franchise. Go ahead to react and enjoy all the movies under the franchise😊 Besides this franchise, two other movies that I would recommend you all to react to. 1) “Ouija: Origin of Evil” (2016) 2) “The Autopsy of Jane Doe” (2016). You all gonna love it❤ React to it first. Thank me later😏

    I ❤ this movie!!! If you watch the whole franchise in order than it will explain it better. They picked 4 cases that were the worst ones and yes it was all based on a true story. Watch them all in order from the conjuring, Anabelle and the nun. They are making the last conjuring movie as we speak. The real Anabelle is actually one of those ragity ann dolls

    Rory is a good ghost! (As one other user commented) but in reality and in the movie, many ghosts in that house feared Bathsheba(the witch - or whatever it was haunting them, there are mixed opinions!) But i believe that also one of the reason Rory hid Cindy in that hiding place, to keep her safe:)

    So the Warrens have many cases throughout the years. Anabelle is one of them and there are 2 movies about it. The Conjuring have 3 movies and each movie is a different case. There are other movies made based on the Warrens cases like Amityville horror and A haunting in Connecticut. The nun but just the exorcism of Maurice. The Conjuring 1 is based in what happened to the Perron family but it's loosely based in the actual events, so much Andrea Perron said that Hollywood had to tome down some events and completely changed other ones. She have written 3 books about what really happened to them and is planning to get a studio to do a series with the real events of their haunting experience.

    As someone who gets vibes from the dead (idk how best to describe it), ppl like Ed and Lorraine who actively try to reach ‘beyond,’ end up causing escalation. We are naive to think we can control any type of outcome in this scenario.

  • @This-is-the-way786

    @This-is-the-way786

    You do realize that these situations have already escalated..? They are not actively seeking them out, these are the entities that have already crossed the 'unseen' boundary and are actively disturbing the living. As someone who dealt with possesion, ignoring it does not make it go away unfortunately. Now the people who go on ghost hunts and visit haunted places, yes those are the ones that cause escalation. Because now the living is seeking the unseen.
