Finally. Disney at least released some form of trailer to one of my childhood favorites. Who ever did the editing for this trailer, good for you. Your work on this was brilliant.

I did not know that Kurt Russell was acting at a young age. I'm definitely watching it now

Yeah, he's been acting since he was a kid doing toy commercials. He did a few Disney movies as a young adult too. Walt must seen a lot of potential in him given his name was among his deathbed notes.

First time I saw Kurt Russell he was about 11 years old in an episode of The Fugitive playing Philip Gerard Jr the son of the guy chasing The fugitive. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qmWZpbOnfr26k5s.html

He was in "Follow me boys" in 1966 produced by Walt Disney.

These new trailers for classic films are a good idea! The old trailers used to be too long and give too much away.

Nice job on the new trailer!! I wish they would add the sequel , "Now You See Him, Now you Don't" to Disney + because that would make a great trailer too and I can't remember the last time I saw that movie.

I remember watching this back in the 90's. Was a good movie.

This makes it look like an action movie. Which it is not

The Dexter Riley trilogy is the best!

when I saw this movie as a kid, it showed me a love for dune buggies. Still love them today all these years later.

I saw this movie when it came out in '69. I lived in Pensacola then, and I almost got run over by a dune buggy out at the beach. Those guys would go flying up one side of the dunes without a care for the possibility that there might be kids playing on the other side. They'd fly over the top and almost land on top of me. They don't allow them anymore. Mainly because they destroy the dunes. I suppose they still allow them in isolated parts of the desert. Like Baja.

That was why i rented it back when i was a punch drunk teen in love with Hayley Mills and classic Disney movies from the late 60s early 70s. And nick at night rerunns like patty duke show and Fernwood tonight; I always loved dune buggies and it had one in the screenshots so I figured, why not? So long ago I couldnt remeber anything about it but that dune buggy. Then i found another one starring Kurt and a monkey or arangatang. Cant remember the name of that one, though.

that would not have been a “super“ computer. the concept didn't even exist yet. as large as it was, that would have been a very bog standard computer for 1969

I enjoy the sequence from this film where the professor is explaining the ideas of what a computer can do. Definitely represents the period. He did an example of home automation as I recall.

You’re on to something here, I think he might not have really downloaded all that computers data directly into his brain with that electrical shock!

Make one for the strongest man in the world. That’s an order.

At the last game show, Kurt Russell, his computer-enhanced, mentally cognitive abilities rapidly fading, is asked by the game show host, "What is the capital of Mongolia?" Russell, struggles to stammer out, "Boola Boola", which is accepted as the correct answer. But uh, no. In reality the correct capital of Mongolia is, "Ulaan Bator".

Disney, please leave all these movies alone and just replay them. Re-release them into theaters. Anything but "re-imaging them for a modern audience", as no one wants that kind of crap anymore. 🙂
