I love this video! Please keep updating this! I bought the original game and the first 4 adventure packs of the first cycle a couple of years ago. If FF just plans on rereleasing everything I might as well buy the new stuff that’ll be in print instead

Love the videos! As a primarily solo gamer on these kind of games I love that you are going over what is in each set. Quick question though: will you be doing a dedicated video on making decks in this game? Because honestly I tried the sample decks in the core set and was defeated by spiders. SPIDERS!!!! Some good tips would be helpful. Thank you, and happy gaming!

So I understand, are the campaign boxes including all of the adventure packs (cycles) that would correlate to the og campaign in it as well? Or what about adventure packs? Are they not a thing of the past?

Jumped back into this game after many years and bought 3 of the starter decks as an impulse buy. I was super excited that they made these! Then I realized I already have pretty much every card already included in the decks haha >.

When are you supposed to play the Dark of Mirkwood? Before or after the campaigns in the core box?

This video was a good breakdown of the new revised content for LotR LCG, but it didn't actually come across as much of a buying guide. Not everyone is buying strictly the revised content after all.

what about saga expansion

What about the shit ton of expansions? Or am I missing something.

Do the starter decks contain duplicates of cards in the core set, or do they contain completely different cards?

Yes, they contain some. A quick disclaimer, the starter decks obviously don't include any quest or encounter cards necessary to play the game that were included in the core set. Duplicates for player cards (note that all decks have extra copies of Gandalf): Dwarves - Erebor Hammersmith - Miner of the Iron Hills Elves - Henamarth Riversong - A Test of Will Gondor - Faramir - Gondorian Spearman - Steward of Gondor - Feint - Valiant Sacrifice Rohan - Horseback Archer - A Test of Will - Feint

Cool video but misleading in part. The revised CORE set definately differs from the old, it provides the player card playset of 3 old Core sets and components for 4 players. Is Angmar Awakened an early cycle? Its the 5th cycle of 9 total. But is depends on what a new player is after. This video works if you just want to buy some random stuff for the best value and play. ALL or nothing for me, im a returning player ready to collect everything, I have half the Against the Shadow cycle still boxed (3 of 9), I need to purchase the other half as its quickly going out of stock and print. I believe every single cycle will be repackaged over time. (nevermind the saga expansions, nightmare decks, standalones etc ) yea, new players could be confused.

Gandalf is in the core set as an ally. He is this games Nick Fury. "He comes and goes at will. He is a WIZARD, you know."

I sold my copy long ago because my friends and I hated how soul-crushingly challenging this series was. One time I played solo the last scenario in the core box, and got PKed before my first turn even began. Frustrating design. Unless they updated to make it easier for new players, I'd avoid and buy or continue to buy Marvel Champions, which is fantastic.

The Revised Core Set has been released recently, which I don't think fixes the difficult so much as gives you a core set like Marvel Champions, so you have more copies of the cards so you can build better decks

Got everything from LOTR LCG, even fan made cards, now we started to play nightmare decks. Do not be a chicken, try it once again mighty Tromdial :)
