I miss this era of TNA so much! Hot take, but this was probably the best run of AJ's career imo. He was legitimately cooler than everyone else in any promotion at this time and each week you wanted to tune in to see what direction the character was going in next. When he tapped Jeff Hardy with the calf killer in the BFG series, my dad and I marked out like crazy. When he left, it was a HUGE blow to TNA.

The whole story angle of “the Lone Wolf” AJ Styles is very similar to “the Crow” Sting. The reason why they withdraw from their wrestling organization and fans, how they become darker in character, how they go at it alone, and eventually how they take down a big heel faction and win the world title. Very similar storylines. Remember, Eric Bishcoff was with both companies during those times.

They missed some promos and matches AJ had before he went back the phenomenal aj styles. Styles had two matches with Austin aries and samoa joe in 2013 bound for glory series! Those 3 matches told a great story and should have been included.

That opening clip is the last ever appearance of AJ’s old mug. I miss that old look of his. Not sure why he’s still using his current appearance.

Ik this is an Aj video but I just wanna say James Storm was the last person to make a super kick mean something in pro wrestling. Really had the impact on it and the finish after it. Chefs kiss

As if this was over 10 years ago. I hadn't seen much of TNA prior to the Hogan takeover. This was what solidified AJ Styles as one of my favourites. He went on to have some amazing matches in the G1 tournament 2014.

Adding date, place and event would've made this even better.. Since it took place between 2012-2014, I could've appreciated it more (just being an editor I search for these things😅). Nonetheless thank you! I waited nearly 5 years to get this all in one place and in HD.
