The starter decks came out here two weeks ago and OP-01 came out 4 days ago. Been very fun learning and playing. Loving the game

Ordered 2 decks of each, and hitting up a few tournaments in London. I'll get my ass handed to me, but gotta play Red rush all the way. I ordered the 25th anniversary cards, a lot of them coming in July. Luckily I have family in USA. I'm going all in on One Piece. I ain't letting go of my cards this time like I did with Pokemon.

where do you usually play in London? I'm new to TCG community here and want to start playing OP card game, bought some decks in japan and am excited to play!

I work at a gas station 2 blocks from a tabletop gaming place, and a regular introduced this game for me! Got my starter deck today and so excited to play! Thanks for the vid!

So I’m actually going to a late pre release event, what tactics would people recommend when battling with the starter decks, which one would be the best to play out of the 4 starter decks. Obviously wanting to win the Luffy winner promo 😅

Yeah I didn’t mean every card being pulled, could have written that better. I meant to have the good majority, I’ve got 4 boxes coming so hopefully that’ll be enough so I can purchase the rest separately.

My local store that is going to host everything regarding one piece is only going to be able to get 2 cases and is goong to sell 2 boxes per player who actually going to play and 1 to unknown ppl until he run out = 12 players get 2 boxes , o...o don't know how yo feel about the way the distributors are handling the supply . Hope others are more lucky trying to get into the game

Here in Germany you can buy the cards almost everywhere online. Not hard to get at all. Hope you will be able to get into it soon ❤

If don cards give characters +1000 during your turn, does that mean characters with (Don x1, +1000) gain +2000 during your turn but only +1000 during the opponents turn?

No, if the character has don X1 in the text it means you must attach a don for whatever the text says to occur. That don is +1000 on your turn only. So this mean if your card says don X1, character gains +1000 when attacking (let's pretend it's a 3000 card) then that character is 4000 during your turn and when attacking becomes 5000. Don does not count anything during opponents turn meaning that character would be back down to 3000 to defend itself as he would be rested from attacking.

Each deck color is different, but the cards inside of each deck are the same. Red will always have the same cards, Green will have the green cards. etc.

You mentioned the different types of rarity but how do you tell the rarity on the card itself? Is there an icon or something?

Thanks for the video! I believe when taking damage you must take it in order now. They changed it in September 2022

I won't lie, I was kind of hoping you'd give a basic breakdown of the starter decks. What their individual playstyles are, whether the colors represent playstyles or factions, what characters or factions each deck is associated with (like yeah obviously the red deck is Luffy's crew but as an ignorant to One Piece I have no idea what the other three represent). That sort of thing helps someone like me decide which specific deck to get if I can't invest in all four. Unless you did a video on that already and I missed it?

Okay so red is aggro style deck so certain cards won't have summoning sickness and can attack if they have the required Don blue can bounce cards back to Hand that's the main thing blue can do green can suspend and restand cards or leaders and purple is a ramp up type of deck so you need your carss to get Don as fast as you can to make big moves green beats purple blue beats green and purple beats blue and red depends on what cards you can draw into the fastest once op 1 comes out all decks get major support especially red Hopefully this helps out alittle bit welcome to the one piece tcg THE ONE PIECE IS REALLLLL!!!

I'll try to give some pointers. Playstyle -the red deck is based on aggro, with the main focus on the keyword "rush", wich allows a character to attack the turn it is played, something normally not allowed. Do be carefull that it is the weakest of the starter decks out of the box, not because of bad cards, but because of weird wonky ratios. -green seems to put more emphasis on comboing with your characters, restanding characters and leaders and some minor control aspects, like resting your opponent's characters, so you may attack them or go around blockers. -blue is a control based deck with am emphasis on "bouncing" wich is the action of putting cards back into the hand of their opponent from the field. It also has some nasty on block effect, and some fairly powerful event cards. -purple is a late game dedicated deck, and if you love ramping (the action of accumulating resources faster, so that you can perform your heavy plays sooner), this is the deck for you. It is the deck that uses Don cards as resource the most, it has effects that straight up Ko opponents characters, and has by far the biggest beatsticks with wich pulverize your opponent, but it requires calculating tour costs, because if tou start shuffling back Don cards randomly you risk getting too far behind. The ramp aspect is here to facilitate this playstyle. Flavour -the red deck is based around the straw hat pirates, the main characters of the story. -the green deck is based around the supernovas, 11 powerful rookie pirates with big bounties (over 100 million "bellies" or "berrys" depending on the translation, wich is the currency in the One Piece world) that got notorious overnight. Luffy and Zoro are counted amongst them. -the blue deck is themed around the seven warlords of the seas, 7 powerful and notorious pirates that the world government took under its wings, they are basically privateers or bucaneers. Their bounties are frozen and inactive, the marines don't hunt them and they have some privileges, but need to answer to the government. They are hated by most regular pirates, who see them as "government lapdogs", but also because they often clash, and usually it ends in the overwhelming victory of the warlords. -the purple deck is themed around Kaido and his animal kingdom pirates, wich is one of the biggest 4 pirate crews in existance. Their captains, known as the 4 emperors, rule over territories like kings in the second half of the Grand Line, the marittime route around the world. They are part of the 3 big powers that balance the world; the 4 emperors, the 7 warlords and the marines backed by the government. The emperors (or yonkos, if using the original term) are monstrously strong pirates. The one in question, Kaido, can turn into a friggin dragon for example. This should give a very superficial look into what this game is about currently, I hope it helped.

I've been unsure about the market due to volatility, at the same time I still feel it's the right time to make profit cos of the price decrease, heard someone speaking of making over $500k since the lockdown and I'm driven to ask what techniques/skillset is needed to achieve this

This IS a beginner's guide, it goes through all the things beginner's should know. It isn't a comprehensive learn to play (nor does it claim to be) but that video IS linked in the description :)
