@@CantPronounce-t7y she's dying from cancer, in constant pain and has virtually no will to live. only thing keeping her going was her cat. her last wish was to relive her childhood memories eating pizza with her dad and alien invasion or not she's damn well going to get that pizza. the cat was surprisingly co-operative most the movie (basically never meowed, happy to swim in water) though it was kind of annoying how it would wander off and get its owners in danger. it IS a cat though so you really can't blame it. at the end she get's everything she wanted. her cat is safe with eric and she got to reminiscence about her childhood. in a final act of defiance she chooses to go out on her own terms, listening to the music she listened to with her dad.

The part that confuses me is that when one of the death angels causes lots of noise while destroying anything that made noise, why don’t multiple death angels converge on a location and also just start rampaging? I feel like they would be so overwhelmed by the sound they’d just end up killing each other until the sounds stopped. Edit: Also, if their hearing is so sensitive they can hear sounds from miles away, wouldn’t they be able to hear people breath and their heartbeats when up close? Kinda ruining all the tense shots of the monsters being near

The US forces could only be operating from the sea there’s no other way for them to even lift off any kind of helicopter if there is one of those things running around 300 miles an hours crazy! The fact that they don’t swim is a really huge handicap. I think the hardest part for US forces is actually finding out what the weaknesses are. It makes sense that they are having trouble killing these things. Especially when there’s no speaking communication that could be done.

Some continuity problem that doesn’t add up. Them not being able to swim should have been known since there was some form of information passing around(new paper clips and Morse code over radio). This was discovered day one, quite literally in the movie day one, so why is this new information to so many when it’s one of their greatest weakness?

Apparently it was common knowledge since the military immediately started organizing sea evacuations. But in order to make use of it, you'd need to be able to lure them to water of sufficient depth to drown them. Given that one of them ducked under the water at one point, they'd clearly figured out how to hold their breath, so you'd have to dunk them sufficiently deep that they couldn't just hold their breath until they touched bottom and walked out

Fun Fact: When the family goes the the store to get resources, it shows that all of the chips (Crips if your British) are still there and not taken because nobody took them as they were too afraid to make noise.

I don't believe it's echo location but just extremely good hearing as echo location (to my knowledge) is dispersing a sound and that sound bounce's back so you can see a picture or at least know what's there. so if the death angels had echo location if they were next to a person and that person was to be dead quiet but the monster was to make a sound it would be able to tell that there is someone there which we see in the films isn't the case.

well if they know someone made a noise and is standing still then it probably will kill them but if they didn’t then they should be fine if they made no sound and is standing still, and like when Rueben moved, he got killed and he barely even made when moving but right before his shirt ripped and made a loud noise, u heard it clicking/using echolocation, and other times there is water running which does affect echolocation

@@landon974how do they tell the difference between ambient noise (water, buildings crumbling, animals) vs human noise, if they can communicate then they are intelligent but then they don’t know what a door is (not how to use it but animals with general intelligence know what an entrance to a room is) or can learn at least, but we don’t see any learning behavior from them, the only communication we see is from the nesting scene, that could literally be the extent of their communication abilities

Kind of. Playing sounds at certain frequencies causes them to flip out and open the armor plating on their head, making them vulnerable. The outer layer of skin is supposed to be indestructible, as by the lore of these movies they’re SUPPOSED to be the perfect organism. So the armor KIND of explains the durability issues, but I really can’t imagine how the planet exploding wouldn’t have at least deafened them. It’s fun to think about though. lol

same dumb monster concept as in after earth. there monsters relied on smell, here monsters rely on hearing. not on echolocation btw. (echolocation is when you produce your own sound it reflects of objects and goes back to you creating a 'picture' of surroundings. these creatures have to detect an outside source of sound to act). they can detect a single sound from miles away but unable to hear a heartbeat of a human standing 1m infront? they hate sounds? but still not 'attacking' waterfalls or simply avoid those at all? they can survive planet explosion (impossible pressure levels), thousands of thousands years of space vacuum (no need to breath or eat), able to run 500 km/h, super strong but somehow cant swim and just sink to the bottom. wtf. who wrote this monsters? :D

Most of what u just said is easily answered, the heartbeat one I have no answer for, maybe it doesn’t beat as loud. If you had listened, they do hate loud sounds, so they would avoid waterfalls which gives people the opportunity to scream. They survived their planet exploding because of their extremely dense and strong armour plating cuz of their planets strong gravitational pull. And they die in water because their extremely DENSE armour weighs them down and they sink

@@Cautionlvr69 you did not understand. 1) human can hear sound equal to 1 decibell at 1 meter away from its source in a complete silent room. heartbeat is exactly 1db. yes movies scene happened in not perfect conditions but we are talking about creatures with super duper hearing sense and yet they failed to notice multiple humans heartbeats. 2) i know they hate sounds thats why i mentioned why exactly creatures are not destroying its source - waterfall or completely avoid it. and im not mean 100m away, i meant why they anywhere near than 10kms from it? same with river, trees and its foliage and many other nature sounds 3) gravity pull and planet explosion are two completely different things. can you hold 20kg dumbell? probably yes. can you catch 20kg dumbbell if its thrown at ya at speeds hundred times higher that speed of sound? no, you cannot. same with this creatures - no matter the gravity strenght, their bodies are not capable to withstand planetary explosion simply because their bodies are not 'trained' to experience such forces. 4) if a creature can get up to 500km/h it means its able to move its limbs at extreme rates. what stopping this dumb creation to move them underwater and swim? density doesnt matter - look at bumblebee, its a fat insect with small wings but it flies! why? it waves extremely fast. Also, in movies this creatures were roaring. why da heck they are not attacking each other?

Again, using sport analogy - thx to our planet gravity pull, weve got skeletal and muscle build able to withstand it AND we can train to withstand even more. Powerlifting for example. How can one train to withstand a planet explosion? Either with the use of technology or keep blowing one planet after the other. Monsters werent shown tech savvy or capable of planetary exploration

All the people on that island knew death angels couldnt swim so they all felt extremely safe knowing theres a ton of water around, in their minds how could a death angel get there, they cant navigate a boat so they feel safe, as for how that death angel got there, my guess is when he jumped on it it pulled the boat out to a current and that current swept the boat toward the island,

(Ig you could say water somehow damages the organs of the death angels but it still is a bad explanation based on the fact they are supposed to be extremely strong surviving great pressure and super cold and hot temperature)

Water is the weakness to a lot of aliens due to our planet kind of being the only one that has water, and is mostly comprised of water, therefore these aliens aren’t built to handle water and don’t have the proper build to swim. Even humans if we can’t swim we will eventually sink. What keeps a human afloat is oxygen. The air in our lungs. These aliens don’t have lungs. It’s not that hard to understand honestly.

Who says they drown? They get immersed in an environment where their hearing is useless to them and they go catatonic. Pull one out of the water and it wakes up again.

Seeing the asteroids fall really was a cool scene and also really random but it reminded me of radahn

If I was making a food run when my area was overrun with monstrous aliens, I would keep my young child right by my side not holding up the rear. It’s a terrible plot hole that is clearly done for shock value. Disgusting.

When theyre leaving the basement theres more death angel corpses, you can see them if you rewatch the scene bc the first death angel got sent flying away from the staircase but when theyre leaving you can see one laying dead right next to it

Just an idea what if when you kill the angel you use those fragmented parts on their head or over all just remove their inner body from the outer indestructible armored shell and use it to make armor where the the death angels can't kill you?

Where are people getting information about the monsters? I don't remember the movies explaining anything about their origin. Or their name. Been a while since I've seen the first and second movie.

My theory is that because of the much larger and denser home planet, the sound waves were weakened due to dense air, thus causing them to evolve to have good hearing to compensate But just like on earth the gravity is weaker the sound waves travel much faster and thus cause the “death angels” to have painfully good hearing

Not to be the nerd here but I read somewhere that their armour is so heavy that it would pull them under deep water and cause them to drown as their armour is needed to stop explosives, ammunition and the destruction of their planet

Near where I live 3 girls all ended up drowning in grain after one fell in then the other two jumped in to save her so ever since in my area it has been taught to kids not to play near grain like that and if somebody falls in to find some sort of stick or rope like object to try and pull them out

I one question it how did they they survive their Planet exploding I mean ik it Soundwave disappear after the moment but it so loud you can hear it from lightyear away
