Stone Island presents The Compass Inside, a new short film by director Jeremy Elkin, embodying Stone Island’s manifesto of the same name. The Compass Inside features members of the Stone Island global community, including director Spike Lee, footballer João Felix, actress Jodie Turner-Smith and designer Germans Ermičs, shot at 15 locations around the world.
These scenes are interspersed with footage from the Stone Island factories in Ravarino, Italy, to detail the relationship between lab and life: the unique connection between how Stone Island is made, and how it is worn. Elkin travelled to the Emilia-Romagna district of Italy to capture Stone Island’s roots in the famous industrial design of the area, where it bases its experimentation and research.

I was the same bro, had to wait till I was 18 to get my first SI jacket, worked like a slave to save up, will be 20 years this July still buying/wearing the badge.

Need more of these short documentaries. Amazing how SI has grown around the world. First piece was nearly 25 years ago. :)

A brand that has moved so far away from its original vision, that without its badge gimmick would be almost unrecognisable. It’s now nothing more than cleverly marketed, mass produced apparel that appeals to would be thugs wishing to feign sophistication. And all at such hilariously extortionate prices, that if you had the money to afford it, you probably have the brains to avoid it.
