@@yasywiller6374 They are, if they really don't give a fuck about earth before the Zen and Earth got connected via portal (how that was called, vortal?) anomaly/storm, they would just reach it eventually, but much later, and if we managed to go into the space at some point we would met them, but at that moment Gordon's friends would have died just of an age! We would have portals, but lack the amount of soldiers at that point, and Union/Alliance would have teleports AND army in large scales, we would be just overwhelmed by numbers, even minus the tech, but the also have technology. Some of our machinery have been used but Aliance just because it works perfectly in our planet. Some said that they have problems with traveling on our planet surface with their standard technology.

Honestly the *Universal Union* Probably wouldn't even notice earth was missing, they own millions upon millions of universes, and they already drained earth of its resources. Earth has no use for them except to act as a galactic checkpoint. Earth is like an atom to them.

Why is the Universal Union so powerful? Because their entire military comprises of thousands of species' who had been conquered and enslaved by the Union from across the dimensions. They have a lot of experience in taking over a single universe. The Empire only conquered a single galaxy, while the Union conquered countless amount of universes and dimensions.

I don’t think we are in a position to make these comparisons. We are far more familiar with the empire while our understanding of the combine is surface level. This surface level does however tell us much about what the combine are capable of and from cut content we even know the Combine overworld is a dyson sphere. The combine dwarf the empire in every category without us even needing to know everything.

They must REALLY want those resources on Earth. AND just get uproared by someone who is Gordon Freeman and: - Just woke up to be late in his job. - Brought into Self Defense towards and killed countless of Soldier's and Aliens. - Wear a Titanium suit, painted in orange and black with no helmet. (that dispenses mophine every time there was a "major/minor fracture" being detected every time.) - Not sleep for almost 2 days. (in Half Life 1. Man's need a fuck ton of Therapy. Minus the morphine.) - Probably hadn't had a proper meal, good nights rest and maybe a proper shower? - And forced to work for G-Man and immediately lose his job? (I think) - And now has to save Alyx. Despite Gordon not having a SINGLE OUNCE OF REST. Except for slow walks in his journey to whatever he is doing. - His brain is probably pushing out a lot of adrenaline. He is cooked at this point. and last but it's the very worst... - Ruined someone's microwave casserole. You know the one. Back in Black Mesa.

The only knowledge we have of their power is from their description as a “universal union” and a multidimensional empire, and all we’ve actually seen is the power described to us during the 7 Hour War. Ain't no way you gave the empire bigger weapons :skull: You realize the pulse weaponry the combine uses and fits all their synth with shoots literall dark energy, able to incinerate anyone and anything. (I don't mean alt fire btw) Realistically lore wise it'd be like full autoing a tank shot from you rifle, it just wasn't made this way for gameplay purposes. It's honestly a plothole in the half life series why the weapons are so weak in comparison to what they should be. - But gameplay goes above story, that's valve's motto.

This property is used in Combine weapons technology, such as the Overwatch Standard Issue Pulse Rifle, and the gun turrets on gunships and Striders. Pulse-rifle ammo clips contain capsules of Dark Energy ; the bullet-like The pulse-rifle also has an alternate fire mode which uses Dark Energy cores to fire a head-sized Dark Energy ball. I don't think that 1: earth used any nukes, and 2: nukes would have mattered. for one, the seven hour war took place in seven hours. not a lot of time for anyone to figure out what's happening. by the time any governments with nuclear capability would have realized a conventional war was hopeless, the arrangements for surrender would have already started. The one argument against this is that the seven hour war didn't necessarily start just as the combine arrived. During the period when the initial combine scouting force would have been focused on wiping out the remaining intelligent xenians, earth's governments would likely have considered conflict with the Combine, and would have come to the conclusion that it wouldn't have even made sense to use nukes, since all it would have done was delay the inevitable. The combine had direct access to earth and wouldn't stop pouring forces in until they had total victory. All nukes would do is make even more of earth uninhabitable, kill even more civilians, and maybe hit some of the combine forces that even if they did kill, would have been replaced immediately. On top of that, those forces would likely be unnecessary. the immense speed of the takeover means that any synths in an already combine controlled area would have served their purpose, as it's not like the humans could have launched a counteroffensive after the main invasion force arrived.

Not really. The Combine sended their small force to invaded earth which ended in just seven hours, so if combine invading the galaxy level then they can increase their military strength as much as they wanted, they not really gonna use full scale power but maybe higher a bit than the one that they used to invades earth because they wanted to take the entire galaxy as fast as possible just for hyper space tech and remember that the combine knew how to counter anything even the force themsleves would eventually fell into the hands of combine and eventually the entire galaxy ended up in seven hours or eight, just remember that the combine are more powerful than the yuuzhan vong 99999999x time, i guess yuuzhan need to team up and the empire and the rebel but yeah even teamed up they're nowhere near the combine, the combine likely got everything except good teleporter, so hyper space would be stolen by the combine and modified it to be even better and the entire star wars universe just gonna get absolutely stomped so hard by the combine, even thought the galaxy is so big, the combine used to invade billions of galaxys and every seconds theres like thousand of galaxys falling into their hand (remember the combine got entire multiverses on their hand), so one galaxy is no problem to them, and invading star wars verse just like a normal monday for them. Ngl combine is too over kill for the empire, what make it worse is they might have synth that bigger than the entire galaxy who knows.

Of course combine, they have technologies that Valve has never shown or will never show us. The Combine seen in Earth is a minuscule fraction of their actual force. The Empire can't even fully control 1 galaxy while the combine have control over multiple universes and have thousands of different species and civilizations under their control.

why would an empire, whose whole Purpose is to conquer planets, try a peaceful approach. also they have the shu'ulathoy which are smarter than any being in the sw universe.

Ok but I mean yes even though the combine is multidimensional and the average estimate puts it at the very least the entirety of Xen and a universe vs a single galaxy you have to account for the fact that a barely formed rebellion and a single guy with a crowbar over through an planetary presence while in Star Wars the rebellion waited 23 years to end their oppressors. The combine took earth over in 7 hours and the empire blew a planet to bits with the flick of a switch and when their first giant weapon got destroyed, in 3 years time they built one with a bigger better laser and was 8 times bigger.

Wait till the Combine pull their own superweapon that is the on the same level or deadlier than the Death Star if Valve were able to continue the Half Life series

The Empire gets leader ship because they have Palpetine. Imo I think The Empire wins this as long as Sidious has prep time.
