Its foul that Whoopi didnt get an Oscar for this performance. I know she won one for Ghost, which she was good in but she absolutely killed it as Celie

Such a sad yet beautiful movie! I've seen this movie numerous times and it always hits you right in the feels!!! I cry everytime the sisters are seperated and later reunited! And Sealy meeting her children again, for the first time!? Damn that's beautiful!

I remember watching all the time growing up my mom let us watch lifetime , crime , cop eta... Tv show/movies to teach me and my sisters both history and current dangers

Watching the remake first kind of spoiled this version but I think we all should see this movie at least once. I didn’t like the new version but I’m glad you saw both.

Yea it wasn’t in my plan to see the remake first, but then we had family in town and they all wanted to go so it just ended up happening. But the original is definitely superior

I didn't like the remake either; it didn't have any of the heart and soul of this movie

There are different body types amongst cattle. You're looking at a dairy cow, not one bred mainly for beef. Dairy cows can have a bony rump, and more visible ribs. That said, I saw this on a high school field trip during my senior year. I almost didn't make it through the first ten minutes.

It's actually maybe 20 minutes after all of the talking. Many creators do up to an hour or more on here instead of selling their Patreon, where you the viewer needs to buy your own version of the movie just to watch him react to it. Patreon is such a huge scam
