Hey Conner, Use off for the inside of your truck during bug season. Use door mats for your shoes. Use wasp & hornet spray around & on your tires to stop critters from crawling into your rig. Great vid. Drive safe.

I miss the days of truck camping with friends like I did in my younger days. I just added a Leer R to my 2021 Tacoma this week. Great set up you have. Enjoy!

Yup, getting the Buddy Heater as well, good on ya for monitor and cracking window... ideas...roll top roof, imagine summertime sleeping with the stars, mini sink in counter...drain out as you wish, shelf...i agree about having bug sprays...but take a look at how they get in...Gonna be a better year, spread the positive cheer! Keep turning that wrench... hug your parents, time flies... kiss your girl like you mean it! Big up!

2 comments. A 5lb refillable propane tank for your heater, it will last longer than the one pounders, far cheaper and less waste. #2, your power source needs to be upgraded, use a lithium battery ( looks like a car battery ) You can run it from your alternator and will charge when the engine is running. 80 amp/hours will last you for days,y ou could probably go with less. A few things to consider. Enjoy your youth man, when its gone its gone. Stay safe.

Damn that last bit. Thank you. Really appreciate the push to use bigger cylinders just for the waste aspect. I hate those little ones.

I'm thinking of building a very similar setup for winter camping. Would you describe this as passable without the heater? I am trying to avoid any heaters for condensation/safety/money savings and wondering if I can get away with a passive setup.

  • @ConnorLee

You use a truck cap tape. I double layer it to add a bit more resilience. It can be bought at any hardware store. It’s usually near the garage door sealer. Just a 1.5” wide foam tape. Cheers!
