    Several things : -The Tito-Stalin breakup of Yugoslavia and the USSR was in 1948 and not 1949. -During the Cuban missile crisis missiles were mostly removed from Turkey, and they were outdated anyway. -France never left NATO, they left the military block. -The arms race started well before the 1980s.

    @@LazyAndFabulous Let me add a few words. The Chinese believe that they love peace, and because China was humiliated by China’s weakness in the 19th century, and after many wars against colonialism, the Chinese chose the Communist Party of China, which helped China to rejuvenate (The Chinese think that we are just back where we were originally, so we don’t call it the rise). In the 1960s, China and the Soviet Union, the two socialist powers, finally parted ways because of a deviation in their understanding of communism, and the Soviet Union betrayedTo achieve its own ideals, to practice great power chauvinism and hegemonism, and to behave like the United States, which made it difficult for the Chinese to accept, so China actively participated in the exchanges with the third world countries, and this allowed China to restore the five permanent posts of the United Nations.One seat of the council

If a man loved slavery, if he loved usury, if he loved terrorism and all the trampled mire of materialistic politics, I have always found that he added to these affections the passion of a hatred of Poland. Originally, I made a comment about Chernobyl and how it was a root cause of the collapse of the soviet collapse. However, it seems like I can't find a good source to either confirm or decline these statements. So just disreguard the original comment (Below) The original comment: Might've been a good idea to also talk about Chernobyl. Chernobyl, for anyone who is unaware, was the largest civilian nuclear disaster in history. Radioactive fallout from the explosion in Pripyat was able to travel all the way to New Jersey, and hundreds of thousands died from Radiation Poisoning. The key thing about this, however, was that, because of how much the USSR tried to cover it up, it ultimately became a factor in the breakup of the USSR.

  • @thedolphin5428

    @thedolphin5428

    2 жыл бұрын

    Get ya facts straight, troll. "Hundreds of thousands" did not die from Chernobyl, even if you count cancer deaths suspectedly caused from it in the last 25 years. International studies say about 4,000 have directly died and the UN estimates 40,00 adversely affected with radiation. Yes, more were relocated and suffered lifestyle losses. And Chernobyl was NOT a factor in the USSR dissolution. That is a piece of Western propaganda. It arose from (depending on who you believe) a series of political decisions made by Gorbachev and the Supreme Council of the time, and then Yeltsin's arrival. They admit to that themselves. Do some research and stop exaggerating for propaganda bullshit.

That's like saying that an ancap who believes in a completely free market with no government intervention is the as Scandinavia. Yeah they both have the same belief at its core but they are two very different things.

    Impressive work, putting 45 years of geopolitical events in an under 10 minute video, but there is one big problem with this format: it oversimpliefies the whole cold war. The Korean Conflict, the Vietnam war, the African decolonisation and the Afghan war are mentioned in such a way that it doesn't cover their real cause or the whole outcome. Also important treaties like SALT1 and Nixons visit to China are totally ignored. Still amazing work, just the format isnt the best for such a long period of complicated geopolitical events.

    This video does an amazing job of showing just how complex and far-reaching the Cold War was. It's a stark reminder of how dangerous the arms race was and how close we came to global nuclear conflict. The lessons of the Cold War are still relevant today, as we continue to navigate global tensions and seek peaceful solutions to conflicts. Let's use the lessons of the past to build a better future. #LessonsOfTheColdWar #PeaceOverConflict #GlobalSolutions

    ... Another mistake In the 1980‘s, Yugoslavia was still Communist (SFR Yugoslavia) and wasnt in the Eastern Block from 1948 (TSS) That alliance slowly broke apart and the Soviets did have a secret invasion plan of SFRY, Albania and Greece (Tito-Stalin Split in 1948) The leaders of SFRY were against the Soviets and they saw it as an opportunity to set up a powerfull COM state in the south.
