What I like about world of tanks is that if they do put in a really overpowered tank..the player bases in a way can do their own quote on quote nerf by focusing it

What I take away from this video is that Wargaming are getting closer and closer to bringing back the WT E100.

Pretty sure this thing could 1v1 a WT E100 and win

The fun thing about the cobra is that despite being a big medium and having a 120mm gun it somehow has better after shot Camo then the Bc 25t AP which is both smaller and only uses a 100mm gun.... how can that be???

Thought the same thing...in Denmark many old houses has horseshoes nailed above the doors. But they have to be with the opening up (sp the luck doesnt spill out according to superstition) :-)

No, that is the proper way a horseshoe is hung outsdie of a smithy. So any luck, knowledge and fortune falls down onto those underneath. Also a horseshoe is supposed to be lucky because it is able to withstand fire. Having it as a 'cup' is a more modern mode associated with crap like religion.

On larger maps, I would run optics, vert stabs, and aiming device or GLD. On smaller maps where optics aren’t necessary, I would run aiming device, GLD, and vert stabs. With a 50 second reload and low DPM, you really can’t afford to miss shots so improving gun handling is far more important than turbo.

I'd go with IRM over aiming device. This tank is for close quarters and isn't really meant to snipe. Decreasing the bloom after firing with IRM + Vstabs is more valuable than the miniscule improvement you get with an aiming device. VStab, IRM and Vents is what I'll be using on most maps.

For the horse shoe to be good luck it needs to be facing up, round end down, or so the old superstition goes.

I loved the format of this video showing clips of games instead of entire games. Shows how the Cobra excels and struggles in different maps/situations :P Keep it up!

Time for WT auf E100 to come back in the game again. Wouldn't really make much of a difference with intuition and all that

I am struggling with the Caliban nevermind the Cobra. Caught a Cobra earlier on a reload with my Shrek. Just able to bang it out. Thing is you have all the toys and the crew. Not many will have that luxury so I don't think we will see many on the battlefield as it is going to be too much of a learning curve for many players, just the masochists.

QB, one of your best videos of all time. I passed on the Cobra last year, but may, mind you may, pick one up this year. Wishing you ten more years of Joy.

man even with the field mods and rot dev, its still a crazy bloom after firing, if the accuracy was any better this thing would be so.... voracious

The tank ist really not op, but it will make the game even faster. You either kill an enemy in no time, or you fail and get clapped yourself quickly. Wargaming on its way to 3 min average game duration

I think that's the goal. Less & less players. Quicker games mean less time between waits.

Congrats on 10 years! I gave up on the game years ago but still sub and watch and like your videos because of the quality of your content. Keep it going for as long as you enjoy it! Best of luck!

This tank forces you to get up close and personal which can definitely get you punished if you make the wrong pushes.

Haha, yeah a couple tried that against me in my full health E-100, then in my full health maus, lol, yeah didn’t work out for them at all, got one Heat pen on me, the other was shooting HESH, at the side of my Maus, as I rotated to counter him…yeah, he did pretty much nothing, and then I shot/rammed them to death very quickly, haha. Don’t know why they both tried that solo…

I wasn't paying attention well when you went through the stats, but for a moment this was sounding like a tier 9 T57 Heavy. The damage per clip is close and faster with nearly as good pen, but the total reload is huge. Though I would say as a T57 I think I would still hate to fight against this tank especially if they have some distance near the end of a battle. If RNG favors the cobra it could clip any other tank from a reasonable distance. Not OP, but the right situations will work really well for it.

this is more like a VZ 55 while using gold rounds with better intra clip AND a bigger magazine well done WG, balanced tank almost like a wt auf e100 of tier 9

5 cobras vs 5 cobras every game. Close combat killers will swarm. But it is ok, it will take 2 years for majority to learn to play this linkor. Ah, the heavy meta will continue for longer time

Full gold yeah is definitely the way to go with this tank. Heat has terrible shell velocity, hesh has good enough pen for a lot of tanks and better velocity for distance and clutch shots

yeah no full gold in this tank will be equivalent to going full retard in this tank. 210mm is not enough to pen equal, and especially higher tiered, heavy tanks frontally. And to fight heavily armored vehicles you will need the HEAT ammo. And in mid-to-close-quarters-combat shell velocity is irrelevant.

Hi QB, given the extremely long aiming time, would you consider using a stabilizer and the "aiming time" device? just to make it shorter, and then vents or optics depending on map.. it would minimize the biggest drawback of the aiming time and the blooming, right?

That horse shoe. On the turret front is placed in the "luck drains out" position. The horns need to point upwards to keep the luck in.

I had the same situation on the beach while I was in a Concept 1B against the Cobra. But he was hiding in the far back wasting all his time aiming and shooting gold rounds when I pushed over to kill his HT teammates. I realised he was on a reload and I just went in to charge him directly. lol it's not about the tank, but the player. so well-played in the games you displayed.

I devastated a 121 early last night. He seemed shocked that I hit him for 1900. He tried to backup quick too late. Actually in my na chat I mentioned it felt like the banned auf e 100. A mini version of the banned tank

What strikes me the most is how gentle people on NA server are compared to EU. Like the T49 who asks: 'Cobra, ping map where you need me', thats some team spirit we lack on our EU server.

i feel like it's because NA is way less countries, while here we have several countries with different languages and such. I RARELY meet english speakers

I have never even played this game, but I enjoy watching this guys videos.

It's not a WTF100, main difference being the WTF had high pen (350-ish?), high damage (560), and high velocity (1200ms) all in one and the same round. The Cobra has to choose the right round for the right target.

WTF100 was an insane gun on the most terrible platform. This actually has a workable platform. This is probably much better tier for tier than the WTF E100 was.

They should add Sylvester Stallone as a commander for this tank saying after the kill "You're the disease and I'm the cure"

I was able to annihilate an Obj, 430 side scraped with the HESH rounds. Penetrated on the inner side of his tracks. It was amazing.

Finally A review of the Cobra

It reminds me of the strv at t6. Not the 74. It doesn't seem British. This and the centurion line are so different. Wot wanted a good intraclip reload after the new td line

Hey @QuickyBaby I've been having a bit of an issue with the battlepasses in the past.. I usually don't play enough to "unlock" much however I'd love to get this tank.. but as far as I can count I can only buy up to 21 tokens however I would prefer to just grind for it.. how long would it approx take for a medium to shitty player?

I don’t think you need turbo on it, cause you have a long reload, so being to fast on position is useless. The traverse speed is actually great and gun handling has to be upgraded before speed

With experimental T3 mobility equipment on this tank the traverse is crazy - even hard to drive lol.

is there a way to become the Cobra in this Season of the battelpass so without playing the last battelpass

In 2 years the New Autoloaders are gonna do 4000 damage in 3 seconds

@@anthonyhowrard526 you jest, yet on WOT console we have a modern tank mode which is separate to the WW2 mode (Cold War), with tanks that fire homing missiles. I wouldn't put it past WG 😆

How do I get it so my red enemy outline shows shaded area that means target obstructed, like QB has? It seems to be very useful to have.

This is exactly why each game is down to about 3-5 minutes on average. It is becoming Mario Kart with tank shells.

Well in 2/3 games I ran into them yesterday, they really didn’t like it, but they were playing dumb in those first two, they tried rushing me in my E-100, and Maus, lol, when I was full health they only managed to pen one shot, the rest were stopped/bounced or very little dmg from HESH, I tracked them, and rammed as they were closing trying to get behind me, yeah didn’t work out for them at all, the 3rd game went better for them, as they had a kran and 1B backing up them up against my E-100, they finally killed me after I bounced 6100 haha.

What do you think about credit maker with this tank ? Is it good ?

I got 8 tokens from last season, and that was when i was busy with school, so I can probably get the Cobra by the end of the year :) I also have a super skilled Cromwell B crew I can use

Hey Quickybaby. The horse shoe is only good luck if it points up. They way it is on the Cobra, pointing down, means bad luck. But good luck anyways! Love the vids and love how informative you are. Really has helped me a lot.

@26:00 the Horseshoe is upside down. In order for a Horseshoe to catch the luck raining down. It needs to LOOK like a cup, and not like a spilled-out cup. It is an easy misconception of the Horseshoe. But the hang of the Horseshoe either catches the luck or dumps it out. I'm 65-Y/O. I learned this from a very old Farm-Girl maybe 80+Y/O, when I was 7-8 Y/O. I remember because I couldn't figure out how you can hang it on a nail like that... That's when she showed me the holes in all Horseshoes. "Ya need two small nails, but that's how ya hang a Horseshoe". She said. Then she added... "But keep an eye on it over the years, because one small nail will rust through first and the Horseshoe will start spilling out it's luck".

Having played the caliban and seen this video, definitely not getting this. This, like every HE tank that doesn’t start with FV, seems like a super situational and frustrating tank

My only regret is using the Cobra commander on my French tanks instead of British, it would have been perfect role play.

Why isn't the vents in the second slot so you could get another 1% bonus instead of leaving vert stabs in a vision slot and getting nothing more?

Im thinking this tank might best be compared to the Emil II. Its comparable dmg in comparable time and both with a armored turret.

That horseshoe is upside down and is therefore not a good luck symbol, it's a bad luck symbol.

Well... you could use your Valiant or Matilda V (or whatever it is) commander. Those are the only 2 British medium tanks I found where the commander is also the radio operator. As for the gunner/loader... yeah you SOL. lol

I am sitting on 24 Tokens and wondering if I should go for the Cobra or wait and get the new TD, Thoughts anyone that may own both? I am more of a TD player than a Medium player. Should this be my deciding factor?

Thanks for the review, very informative. And I don't think it's good for the game, just like what another youtuber said: it's not fun to play against (you can be killed in less than 5 seconds), and it's not fun to play as (because of the long reload).

This tank IS completely overpowered in the same way the FV 183s are completely overpowered IMO. No, it won't have the highest avg damages or highest win rates most likely. But it simply shouldn't be possible to do 2000 DMG in 4.5 seconds. It simply shouldn't be possible to one shot a vehicle in the case of the 183s. The potential of the tank is too high when it IS working regardless of what the performances are like when it is NOT working. I think if any one aspect of a vehicle is overpowered, then there needs to be a reworking of that aspect regardless of what the other attributes are. Your analysis with the WT E100 is how I feel about vehicles like this and the 183 tds.

How about a WoT Glossary video? "Alpha Damage", "Burst Damage", "WN8"... I can think of a lot of terms we all use but would love to have a definitive agreement on those terms. Would be very interesting, IMO

Based on this review I just got the Cobra and I love it, I am an average player on a good day but I have been able to make it work. Especially love getting behind heavy tanks and killing them. Only things is every game is against tier 10s

How do i get the Cobra? Its 28 markers, have to wait to next season?

FYI - horseshoes should be mounted with the opening up.. so the luck doesn't run out - Sherman Potter ;)
