I feel bad for Brian. Every time I hear these guys mention or reference the kick off I get flashbacks to some interview Rory did, it might have been the kick off Christmas podcast, and he was basically saying about how Brian saved his life from falling apart. Its a shame because these guys are entertaining and as a group I like watching them but there's always this uncomfortable vibe underneath. I know we don't know everything that happened but from what we do know and from how they all react when its brought up, it does genuinely look like Brian got fucked over by his friends. He is flawed but I think he deserved better than this. Their smiles and smirks when talking about it I find really unsettling. It just sucks.

I don’t feel bad for him as the Kick Off is in a decent place again, and he made a joke that put the rest of these lads (particularly Adam) in a really uncomfortable position. Brian isn’t a stranger to controversy or putting his foot in his mouth either as evidenced by his recent tirade about Klopp. I think if it wasn’t what happened with the Muslim comment it would have been something else.

It’s worth nothing they didn’t leave because of the “joke” per se, they left because the Muslim joke caused loss of sponsorship, which subsequently caused less funding for the show which meant Brian was unable to pay them the amount they deserve. Having said that, I do think the smirking and joking is relatively snaky, and weird behaviour from three adults.

McKola probably threw a tantrum to not have Goldbridge on here, the melt 😂

The worst thing is when football podcasters get really horridly clingy to writing fanfiction about the teams and players, and going on about how big and strong the men are... Just very very creepy. All I want to see is three men argue with each other (to the point of yelling, often) about football related topics, but not to the point where people just won't hear the other side. That's why I watch the club and not TKO

The kick off when it had Laurence and Rory and Hugh Wizzy was the peak of this type of content. While I agree The Kick Off has dclined it does leave a sour taste that these guys have put it in decent and then copied the show exactly and gave themselves the best I can't lie lol.

The Football Ramble is the best football podcast out there. They don't fake horrendous opinions and HeAtEd DeBaTeS for clicks and engagement like most on KZread. Just good football chat and banter

The Football Ramble deserves an honorable mention imo. As a very small pod they don’t seem to focus on views really since they‘re backed by a small network i believe. s/o to pete, vish, andy and everyone from the team for their fantastic work! :)

The Square ball, is definitely an elite football podcast! One of the funnier ones too.

I don’t know about you all, but all 3 of these guys come across as very ungrateful and very bitter about TKO. Before TKO Rory was the face of Chelsea Fans Channel which basically became defunct, Adam was the face of The Full Time Devils which became defunct, and Buvey was part of a group of channels, almost all of which now are defunct. TKO gave them all a platform that allowed them to be what they are today and without it they’d all probably be nowhere right now. I find their attitude towards the show completely disrespectful, maybe something else went on behind the scenes but from my perspective it’s basically they all tried to make it, they all failed in different ways, Brian allowed them on his show, they became popular, and then the second Brian lands in controversy (because of a joke made about Andrew fucking Tate btw) they all jump ship to a rival’s studio while he’s suspended, make their own show, and then use that show to slag off the quality of the show that made them what they are. I mean Rory loves to throw around referring to people as Judas Iscariot, I can see why…

Pitchside has potential, I feel like if they got a better addition instead of Tom garret you would see different sides of the other original guys.. Tom kinda changed everyone’s attitude in a negative direction from the jump of him joining- however they could have had an opposite turnout if there new person was someone else. I don’t claim to know exactly who but thats what i noticed ever since the start. Reeve and Theo are likeable, they just needed a different co star and the chemistry would have been… maybe not amazing but more ideal

You guys need more respect for the kick off, especially buvey and Rory. I didn’t have a clue who them two were before true geordie helped their careers massively. One mistake and youse jumped ship. 🐍🐍🐍

1) Adam is a Man United, so naturally he's not gonna know a lot 2) Rory chats shite, but he genuinely believes the stuff that comes out, so there's that 3) The less said about Buvey the better But you guys do good work - I understand it's hard to pad out a 90 minute watch along with essentially improv, and people need to remember this is their income - they need to follow the algorithim that KZread sets, hence the 40 odd "BEST EVER XII EVER" videos we get every season

Have to agree, mad how they think football podcasts are a video medium. Football weekly/football ramble and many others pave the way. Also with ball knowledge, they have proper journalism that have studied the sport.

Love that Adam likes KG and Ex combo on Dr sports 🔥 DR sports intros are easily levels above other channels

Mark Goldbridge is bigger than this entire channel

The slander for the Peter Crouch Podcast is unreal. Most of the time The Club boils down to, "All Time Best.. (defenders)" etc and it's the same discussion every week. Rodri gets a dedicated 30 minute segment each week too. The Overlap/Stick to Football is a glorified Manchester United podcast.

Can't forget Rory rubbing one out to Bernardo Silva...

The Kick Off went downhill once Hughwizzy left. Once it was TG , Laurence and these 3, it fell off massively and for me,that was because TG,Adam and Rory diverted from football too much and it became too laddish. The Club started off well and now its gone the same way. You watch a watchalong and they just start singing and talking about any old crap. The Kick Off isnt what it was but its generally about football all the time now.

Nah Laurence was an arrogant arsehole as well, talked down to everyone. These three with TG and someone with ball knowledge behind a computer like a Jamie from JRE would've been perfect

Its weird how they are acting like they weren't main members of the kick off the truth is they were irrelevant before the kick off

Pretty much, if you're watching these guys for football knowledge you're in the wrong place, especially anything unbiased as they all Stan their clubs like crazy, but they're all enjoyable to listen to talking

They didn’t even mention anyone on it. They don’t wanna credit them. Say that they have no knowledge but when they do the club they don’t even speak about the game or football. They just spoke about the past so it shines a good light on them

I prefer SDS overall. The right mix of ball knowledge, and banter, and they always get new people on the show. Plus, the most unbiased takes I've seen from football fans is on SDS.
