Remember visiting the Maui Kai in the mid 80s and there was actually a small beach in front, and during low tide you could walk all the way past the Embassy on the beach.. The BEST sunsets!!!

Thank you for sharing. We haven't forgotten what happened to the Lahaina people we haven't. God bless them & praying they will be given compensation ! Oregon.

I’m going to go to Hawaii during the first week of October. My great aunt is the one paying for it and me, my parents, my 2 sisters, and brother are all going and she’s going to rent condos for us to stay in the whole week. We live in southern Indiana and my great aunt lives in Northern Kentucky. Me, her, and my 2 sisters went to LA and flew for the first time (except, my great aunt has flown and been there before.) This happened last July, the last week of it! I still can’t believe we were there! Can’t wait until we go to Hawaii too! We swam in the ocean at Venice Beach and it was also our first time seeing and being in the ocean in our whole lives! I remember the waves being crazy! Sometimes a wave you’d think was small would actually wind up going over your head! Kind of scary, especially having thalassophobia! But it was still fun! I hit regret not wearing sunscreen! I was pale, which is why I got sun burnt since I’m a gamer and never go outside 😂 I hadn’t gotten sunburnt before that, ever in my whole life! It’s just that I was pale! But I’m definitely going to wear some in Hawaii to be safe, even if I am darker by then! I’m Mexican so I’m dark, but not as dark as I think I should be.

Stayed at Maui Kai several years ago. Beautiful place! Stunning view of the ocean and sunset! Would definitely visit again!

Hmmm, you got me sold. I was just in Maui, March 2023. I think I'll visit again even though Lahaina downtown is gone. I really love the Kaanapali beach. My husband beach bummed there for days. So relaxing and beautiful

My husband, kids and myself stayed at the embassy suites the first time we came to Maui in 2005. It was a FABULOUS vacation! One that will always be a beautiful memory in our hearts! We are heading down there to the Hyatt next week! Can not wait!!!

We were just there from the 17th to the 26th! Had an amazing time. Ate at Java Jazz, Pizza Paradiso which were on your video. Made amazing memories, definitely plan on returning. Maholo for making dreams come true.🌸🌺

11:06 Eric, I’m glad you mentioned that about the crosswalks. Even in the daylight the big beautiful tree shades the crosswalk and makes it hard to see people. Thanks for the tour of this area! Nice to know how the paths connect back there.

Alhoa Eric. Great video. Amazing how close Maui Kai is to ocean. They are really counting on the sea wall. Understanding the governments position on repairing seawalls, does that position loom in the future for the maintenance of that sea wall? Yes. Every sea wall will eventually be under the attack of Maui county’s idiocy.

I would love to go back to Maui, but it costs so much to rent an air bnb. If you have any leads on some deals, let me know please!

Styed there in 2007. Very nice but I didn't like the condo experience.

Have said for a long time Hawaii is the most beautiful place on earth. It's a shame people live on these islands.
