Hey, Imon! ASSASSIN: A good PADME-AHSOKA BONDING episode. The last time the duo shared an adventure was in the Blue Shadow Virus Duology. The two have formed a sisterly attachment to each other. AHSOKA develops a new Jedi ability in this episode: interpreting FORCE-VISIONS. Observe how YODA advises Ahsoka and Anakin regarding their visions. With Ahsoka, he's nurturing a nascent ability in a Padawan and is encouraging. With Anakin, he is correcting a wayward Knight with attachment issues and admonishes. To both, he warns that the future is always in motion and, therefore, clouded. The RETURN of Master Librarian JOCASTA NU last seen in "Lightsaber Lost" (Season 2, Episode11). While Padme admits to having felt out of her depth as a young Queen to Ahsoka, the two play a holographic game of DEJARIK. Prior to the "Obi-Wan Kenobi" series, this episode provided a glimpse of how beautiful ALDERAAN is. LEIA'S THEME plays as Padme disembarks from her yacht to be greeted by Senators Bail Organa and Mon Mothma, the future leaders of the Rebellion. PADME cites the events of "PHANTOM MENACE" as a MICROCOSM of the current Galactic crisis making her especially attuned to the humanitarian relief such disruptions require. The RETURN of AURRA SING, again voiced by JAMIE KING of "Sin City" and "Black Summer", thought dead in the Season 2 finale, "Lethal Trackdown"! The RETURN of ZIRO, the CAPOTE-ESQUE Hutt, after last being seen in the animated movie. This episode is the PRELUDE to the Ziro the Hutt Trilogy.
On the heartbreak of Darth Vader, yeah, this show adds many many layers to that heartbreak. Ahsoka and other new characters add to this, but the development or additional characteristizations of existing characters like Padme, Anakin, and Obi-Wan, do as well. Not to mention the clones being given their own stories and humanity, which they didn't have prior. The clones are the soul of this series, which is awesome considering how few of them made appearances at all (nevermind being named, I think Cody is one of the only ones named prior) or existed in the lore and all of them add a lot to the story of Star Wars imo. Rex being one of the best but not the only one by any means. So yeah, for me (and many others I think) this series makes the prequel story so much better... it makes the impact of the end of those films hit much harder, and adds more meaning to the events that happen after as well. It makes you wonder from the beginning, "What will happen to them?" And how different characters will react or be affected. Of course, you'll have to wait and see. But that sense of incoming tragedy in a show like this is unusual for the atmosphere and messages it has to share. It's pretty awesome.
Anakin does have a point. Padme has made some enemies over the years like Gunray.
The show is getting closer to when it jumps ahead into the second year of the war.
Really glad you're enjoying watching the clone wars! Can't wait for Rebels! And definitely always trust the gut. It's there for a reason
Another bonding episode for Ahsoka and Padme. Love the scene where Ahsoka looks lonely and fearful about undertaking this mission on her own, and Padme helping her through it by relating her own experiences as a then 14 year old Queen. Aurra Sing is a solid villain though, love her design and she is fairly formidable, and is in fact slightly force sensitive herself, hence her talent as a bounty hunter. Ah seeing the might Ziro at the end is great, I love that Hutt!
Like 10k warning bells should be going off in Padme's head. She knows what happens when Jedi have bad dreams.
10:04 It WAS, effectively, a zoom-call.
Pretty sure I was (one of at least, I'm sure others did too) the commenters who brought up and explained blaster ammunition when you mentioned it in a previous video. Assuming you did mean me, it's nice to feel seen, haha! This is a fun one, even if it's not a huge standout or anything. Aurra Sing is one those characters in the background of the films that people always thought "she looks cool, who on Tatooine is that?" so it's neat that we get a few episodes with her doing stuff, and it's always a delight to watch Ahsoka continue to grow. You're totally right about how much more heartbreaking this show makes Anakin's fall and everything else that happens as the clone wars draw to their end. These things were devastating before, but rewatching Revenge of the Sith after Clone Wars is soul-crushing. Out of curiosity, how far ahead of these youtube releases are you? I don't really have the money to join up, or the time to catch up on episodes if I did join up, but I'll still continue to provide my thoughts and insight on episodes here when I have some. I love watching people experience parts of Star Wars they've not seen yet - this universe is boundless and wonderful, so much more than most know.
So many great Ahsoka character development episodes in the Clone Wars.
Your instincts serve you well...

Your Star wars videos really make my dad you rock!! Oh and just out of the ordinary if you like star wars perhaps you would really enjoy The Dark Crystal age of resistance the official prequel to the original 1982 movie the dark crystal and/or Gremlins secrets of the mogwai, the animated prequel series to 1982 classic film. Both of these shows I think would be great additions to you Wonderful channel. You and your friends keep up the great work.
