imo the greatest synth on planet earth. i had almost every synth but the lyra imoeressed me the most. its by far my fav #1 synth. great perfomance !!

This video made me buy the Lyra, I still routinely come back to watch this performance, absolutely outstanding!!!

I really like this video. Not only is it a great track, but it's good to see (hear) the Lyra in a different light. Hopefully I'll be getting one soon so I've enjoyed seeing that it's more versatile than it might first come across.

I got myself a Deluge to get away from Ableton and keep my workflow somewhat intact.. It's a little Force ;) by itself.. And i can carry it anywhere.. it's become my electronic sketchbook... Cheers aigain a lovely little piece of music u got here..

I struggle incorporating the Lyra 8 into my tracks too. Sometimes I manage if I tune it and don't mess with the modulation... I prefer to just sit and drone with it on its own. More of a chill out, meditation type experience 😊

It’s hard to get the same sound out of it twice 🤣 The “clean” (ish) sounds aren’t hard, you just zero all the mods and effects. The farther you stray from there, the weirder it gets. It’s a synth for exploring and having happy accidents with, not for mastering.

Thanks a lot! For sure, Elektron is the best music gear on the market right now for performing electronic music live.

i dislike most techno, but this was was nice, with great tones, and mixed well, and not too busy.....

Wow man excellent jam there. Do you sidechain your kick in the whole mix? Live or post recording? Did you « tune » the lyra to match the key of your song/jam before the recording?

Ge Ve thanks! Actually, here is no sidechain or post-recording processing. I can’t remember all the details of making this video, but I’m often use LFO for ducking effect on bass and pads - maybe this is what you’ve recognized as sidechain because in this setup there is no way to implement technically correct sidechain without using external gear. You’re right about Lyra - it is tuned to match the key of the other instruments.

I’ve got a similar setup. I believe you could hack actual sidechaining by running you individual kick out of the AR into the control input on your heat and then route that to something like level or filter/envelop follower.

is the sidechaining coming from the analog heat?

Please help, Lyra and digitakt or Lyra and analogue four???

You have to make this decision yourself, based on your personal needs. Only way to find out is to dig deep in both machines. Do your research, its weird to ask someone else to take this decision for you, no?
