"TV" (aka News Media Houses) are ultimately businesses. Above and everything else, they need to sell. So they'll give the public what "sells" the most/gets them the most ratings. Book hook or crook, they will gain maximum number of eyeballs. The priority isn't news, the priority is spectacle. And in some cases, patronage from certain political/ideological/foreign/terrorist elements. And while I'll be the first to admit that some media houses are less pernicious than others, ultimately that is the fundamental problem with relying on a business for getting the truth. Businesses are great for running an economy. Not for this though.

It won't happen. The moment the big fish realize these kind of channels are getting popular, they will go after the channel, followed by frivolous allegations and drag them to courts and eventually silence them.

I hope the cross publication happens with other news media outlets. 🙏 But in India, the mainstream media won't accept these news or consider publising them, as most of the fraudsters have share in those media outlets or have connections and bribe those ppl to not to publish.

Many many thanks for bringing into light how horrible was the nexus of politicians,corrupt bureaucrats ,some bankers in connivance of unscrupulous business houses looted the country , public money for years together without the knowledge of literate masses let alone the general public .Now it is the duty for all of us to support the Govt in its efforts to eradicate this syndicate.

Very good positive points. Our biggest enemies are the audit firms who cooperate and give innovative ideas to cook books, plus the investigation agency has to be more aggressive. Great job and invaluable analysis of modus operandi of the scamsters, but more importantly about how a government can start making a difference. We have to see some cases finish to conclusion now, though.

None of these scams would have occurred without the help and directions of politicians. They are India's misfortune. India is much more valuable than Singapore, but for our politicians and their collaborators the industrialist, businessmen who are out to loot the country. When the UPA government decided to write off farmer's loans of 75000 crores, captains of trade and industry were shouting from roof tops that it will have desatrous effects on the economy. Also when the Sahara group chairman, Roy was put behind bars by the honourable supreme court, business class showed their displeasure about it. I also remember a few decades ago when the government thought of increasing taxes on foreign business, Indian business leaders would shout that it would scare them out of India. I used to wonder if foreign business class were small children to get scared.

What is the latest status on this? Are things still looking positive? Can we have an update?

Poor law enforcement and total lack of fear in punishment. All this led to political parties supported private armies and mafias in every sphere.

Auditors, Rating Agencies & Regulators are not independant and will never be. They also judge the companies based on perception rather than facts. I personally think that this cannot be changed completely because of the basic dynamics of this relationship. At least we can make sure that as soon as a problem is detected the information is not withheld for long.
