No autotune. No fancy processing. No studio tricks. No sampled riffs from someone else's record. A real guitar and two voices...beautiful. We don't get to experience this too much these days. Listen how they both control their dynamics. Simply amazing.

How do EITHER of their respective spouses watch them on stage together, with THAT much Vocal, AND personal chemistry and NOT question why they aren't together at least a little bit? They are musically perfect for each other, and I think that dynamic of being able to have such chemistry, but hold each other musically accountable, and be honest with one another the way you might not always be able to be with a spouse is what makes their music so great. Still, the chemistry and very hard to miss.

omg this performance is so emotional. I find it funny that they felt the need to mention that his wife was in the audience. You can tell me a million times that there was nothing going on between them and I wouldn't believe it. So much magic!

I think something did happen and their spouses (Joy is married too) probably gave the ultimatum of “you either quit playing music with them or I’m leaving”. I can’t think of any other reason besides that. Unless they just didn’t get along off stage. I’ve been in bands like that.

Believe it. They both have families they love. John Paul was a successful musician and producer before and after the Civil Wars. He has a beautiful family and his own studio in the famed Muscle Shoals area. A real fan would know their history and not just go on with histrionic nonsense that is hurtful to their families. They have spouses and children you know. He has a house full. And parents still living.

The music moves her in ways it should move everyone as I'm sure it does to many who listen to their music. I can't help finding myself swaying like she does, and the way he plays that guitar, both holding an emotion that is unbelievable... Anyone who can't see this obviously doesn't understand music.

Achieving fame is NOT a 9 to 5 job, guys. Once you reach that pinnacle, it takes removing yourself completely from the publics' eye to regain your privacy. The only thing wrong with that is the public tends to forget about what they don't see on a regular basis. Hopefully John Paul will realize how disappointed his fans are and reappear to make beautiful music with Joy. They are something special.

They were on GMA last week, Joy was prego, and still sounded awesome. She obviously has an amazing voice, but after listening to them for a while, I have to say John Paul does too. Neither one carries the other. This along with some clever covers and eerily and ominous (in a good way) music make them perhaps the most authentic duo in music today.

Lyrics: Haven't you seen me sleepwalking 'cause I've been holding your hand Haven't you noticed me drifting Oh Let me tell you I am Tell me it's nothing Try to convince me that I'm not drowning Oh Let me tell you I am Please Please tell me you know I've got to let you go I can't help falling out of love with you Ooh Why I am feeling so guilty Why I am holding my breath Worry about everyone but me and I just keep losing myself Tell me it's nothing Try to convince me that I'm not drowning Oh Let me tell you I am Please Please tell me you know I've got to let you go I can't help falling out of love with you Won't you read my mind Don't you make me like you And I hear Please Please tell me you know I've got to let you go I can't help falling out of love with you With you Ooh Ooh Haven't you noticed I'm sleepwalking

I don’t know who loves who more. Or whose more captivated by the other. Like old souls. That’s what makes it magical, and passionate. You just don’t feel chemistry, you feel the passion in their voice. You don’t know where his love begins or where hers ends. It just flows together in the circle, chemistry, union.
