History is my favourite subject and not being British born and bred makes it even more interesting to me. I congratulate you for promoting British pride through your vlogs. What better on a monday morning to be taken on a magical tour around Canterbury with the one and only Darren john. A truly inspirational video to suit all ages, and breathtaking in its filming and musical conontation. The finesse in which the baker handled the paint scraper was sublime, if it tasted as good as it looked then it was probably ' Off The Charts'... What i noticed was cleanliness of the place, and of course the quaintness of the old book shop. a lot of the buildings reminded me of Stratford upon Avon stunning in there own right. Twa's like being taken back in time with such authenticity and style brought to you with the DJ factor. This kind of filming should gain recognition from the tourist board of England for its content and pure fact. ive never been to Canterbury but the 'Dazzler' takes one along as if you were riding tandem throughout the wonderful tour. What a tonic the ding of Darren John's bell can give, you could liken it to a wolf whistle which almost everytime makes one look up smile and take notice... Respect and Regards from Thailand Big Cee

Ah Darren! Bloody brilliant video mate. So many memories of Canterbury. Born there in 89’, lived locally till 2007 when I moved to Cardiff. I love all the old streets, and that fudge shop had my train fare most days 😂 👍🏻

So surreal to see the olde against the new, I wish those walls could tell us real event stories, that would be so captivating. I do love the way we suddenly then get thrown into “oh look food!” 😂😂😂 and was that an egg custard you had with your coffee? I've never been to Canterbury, but looks like an amazing city to walk around and take in the ambience -- which I think you've captured in the video. I'm old enough to have seen buildings built and then demolished 20 or so years later, and to think some of the buildings in your video are upwards of a thousand years old. Pretty incredible. Thanks a lot for this beautiful video!

What an amazing place, I love the old buildings, the small independent businesses, makes a refreshing change from Greggs and the normal high street tat. The place of many of my youthful memories. I haven't been there for many a year but what a magical yesteryear. Thank you for reminding me. I used to spend hours in the Cathedral and always lit a candle in homage to Edward of Woodstock, the Black Prince.

Great vlog Darren. Canterbury seems very serene compared to York where I am. York is rammed with tourists 12 months of the year, similar history, similar streets. The walls are more intact, you can walk around them for miles and we have an ancient bye-law stating that you can shoot a Scotsman with a bow and arrow from the City walls...I've not tried it yet.

Canterbury does get mobbed with tourists too, particularly in the summer, but numbers have obviously dropped due to the pandemic.

Such a lovely vlog of a beautiful, historic city... those Romans sure knew how to build walls made to last. This brought back memories for me as a 21 year old, strolling around the streets with my then boyfriend who lived there. . I haven’t been back in many years. Thanks for the memories Darren and it’s good to see it’s not all been bulldozed to make way for modern buildings in the centre.

Know Canterbury pretty well, used to go shopping there regularly but not been for a while. Don't know when you filmed this but the traffic is usually nose to tail along the road outside the city wall.

Hi DJ! Just been watching a Vlog of the MacMaster Lee and his friend Angie at the Christmas markets in Nottingham. This is nowhere as beautiful as your Vlog on The WInter Wonderland and your vlog on the regent street lights. But it looks just as amazing seeing so much goes into making places Christmassy. Those buildings are amazing. Love the black and white tudor look a bit like Chester, Lincoln and York all have that on their city centre buildings. That fudge looked yummy. Canterbury Catheral wow. Off the charts 😍😍👍🏻👍🏻

I can't belive how anyone could make a film of Canterbury and ignore the magnificent Cathedral slap dab in the middle of the city - it must have taken quite some deliberate effort to miss it! To this day, pilgrims come from all over Europe to visit the shrine of St Thomas Becket, the Archbishop of Canterbury who was murdered there in 1170 on the orders of King Henry II and which shook the whole of Christendom. Cups of coffee my RZ.
