A run through of my thoughts on the Citizen Promaster Tough after having owned it for one year. It really is a great watch!

Hi, I bought the black model on the titanium bracelet a few days ago and I'm very impressed, it's very classy and built like a tank . I think this is a UK only model and no longer being made , the new model is similar but with a longer lug to lug . The bracelet is pure class and features a divers extension

Awesome watch! I'm digging that strap combo on this one for sure! I like the larger arabic numerals on it too even though it won't play with more formal straps and events like you mentioned, for an everyday/tool/sports watch it nails it! 😎🍻👍

It is still a watch I am considering to get. Only negative for me is that despite it being titanium it is still quite heavy. No doubt a result of it having a solid case. Also a tad large for a fieldish style watch. I just have a preference for small and light. Due to it's dial layout with markers at 12,3,6 and 9 and numbers at their respective places that are very large relative to it's size I think the watch has a prominent appearance. Which is something that attracts me a lot actually. Almost like a modern classic. This style has been on my radar a long time already and it took me a long time to get used to but now I appreciate it. I have a momentum atlas titanium which has the same dial layout which I only bought because it was on sale despite me at the time not liking the way it looked. By now I have really grown into it to say the least. The atlas sadly broke very early and if I would go for this style again I would choose the original Citizen. This iteration I like the most I think due the afformentioned large numerals compared to it's Japanese counterparts. Enjoy in good health. Best regards.

I own one of these watches, but with the black dial. The BEST strap, is actually the Titanium bracelet, I wouldn't use anything else. The Titanium bracelet on its own, costs £175. I bought my watch, brand new, on a cruise, for £235!

I didn't think Titanium watches went back as far as 1997. I was asking in shops for a Titanium watch in 2000, and they'd reply back to me - what's that?? I've also had the privilege to machine Titanium (you always had to have a fire extinguisher by your machine!), and I can confirm, it IS TOUGH!! I think we used to run the machine at 560 rpm.

It just has normal spring bars. I use a spring bar tool, but you could use something like a pen knife to pop the spring bars out, or alternatively if you don’t feel comfortable with that take it to a jeweller.
