My god, it is so Black Mirror esque hearing the reality of your living environment. I can't imagine the mental toll it would have taken on you! Thanks for the insight, this show absolutely captivated me. It must be incredibly brutal/surreal for the blocked contestants in the new series to exit and immediately get interviewed in the live studio!

i think the show owns the entire apartment block, the production crew probably live in the other apt. and they've been filming back to back so it's not empty for a long time

Are there rules about not talking about how you have ranked other players when you’re in chats?

You’re an absolute legend, I didn’t watch the first series until I started watching this series and I loved how you balanced cat fishing with still being a genuine and lovely person! 🤗 You and Tim are my favs, so fingers crossed another fav will win this year!

I'd love to know more about the chat limits! Is it a straight forward limit of X conversations for X minutes a day? Are you not allowed to repeatedly talk to the same people? A lot of the chats seem to be 2-3 questions then done! Is that the edit, or were some chats limited to 5-10 mins? Are you ever directed who to start a conversation with? Such as someone you haven't spoken to in a while, or to put together the relevant connections for whatever the current drama is? And what is the deal with the diary room? You clearly go there a fair bit, but it's hardly used in the final edit. Maybe 2 or 3 times over the entire course of the first series, and once so far this series. It seems like the diary room is the very last resort for the director/editors. Did producers ask you questions about the topics of the day in case it was needed for the edit? Or was it more of a welfare issue with making sure you were feeling okay? Did you get to speak to people face to face in there or is it more like the Big Brother diary room (an isolated booth with camera and speakers)?

I’m sorry, is this another version of the circle? I’m watching the US version and it’s only 8 epis in and I have no clue who this is lmao

Wonderful to catch this behind the scenes video, Alex. I can confirm- and add, "what a blast!" Alex, you are the trail-blazer and I loved your time on the circle. But really, Alex, wasn't it great- everything done for us, appearing magically- clothes, steak, and endless prosecco (WTF) if you like that (I don't). Also, so many cocktails- never had a cocktail before I got on to the Circle so genuinely a new experience . They eventually delivered a very nice glass of Ouzo. There is no way voice recognition works that well, they have hundreds of people working behind the scenes typing for them etc

Awesome glad I watched this as I had way too many questions when watching the circle 2019. Interesting the sound proofing, the meals and not even a Netflix to kill time.

In the mornings, would the lights just suddenly turn on and you had to get up or were you allowed to have lie ins? Also, how did you know or make sure the cameras didn’t film you when you were naked or using the loo? are those scenes just edited out, because they are clearly filming people whilst in the shower so long as they’re „covered“? do players have to go to the bathroom to get dressed or changed?

Why is it every time someone is blocked, and the circle alerts the contestants that the blocked person gets to meet someone. All the players are extra tense and and shocked all the time ? Like even when josh the word alert popped up they're all like " oh God what now " but they all know after a blocking what the word alert means

No point in applying. I understand most contestants are scouted and hand-picked. In season 2, I know that of the 16 contestants only one had applied to be on the show.

Honestly I'd do it even without the possibility of winning money. Just for being on my own, no responsibilities, no people, no technology, all the time in the world. It sounds so good

Haven't we all just been playing a massive game of Circle for the last year?

I saw in an interview with one of the Producers they said they dont film on Saturday. Saturday is apparently set aside for down time where theres no filming, no players interacting with eachother. Basically a day off from the game

How does it work with players employment / university when going into the circle??

I noticed in season 2 that there's a discussion between Tim & someone else, and the editing made it look as if Tim could hear the other person, because he nodded as the other person spoke. Could be editing, could just be Tim.
