Actually, that has happened. On The Circle USA what happened was that both influencers could only save 2 people both. The one not ‘saved’ is going home.

@@extrashotofespresso_ I'm not sure what he's referring to but I did see on season 3 when Nick and James were secret influencers I believe they deliberated for 6 HOURS! (this was from a KZread comment so take it with a grain of salt.)

What was the hardest thing about adjusting back to normal life after a month in isolation when you did the show?

Obviously there was somebody typing out what you were saying Alex lmao There's no voice system in the world that would understand "Okay that, but, like, capitalise the first two letters and put a half winking emoji". Not only that, but I actually saw spelling errors that could only have been man-made. Surprised you didn't pick up on it.

what if an alert or game/private invite happens when youre in the shower or going to the toilet? do they wait for you to finish or just continue?

I'm guessing with all the people watching the contestants, they make sure no one is on the toilet or showering before sending an alert.

I'm curious if they will ever do an All Stars where they can Catfish as Past Players, but in actuality are a completely different All Star pretending to be them. LOL

I noticed The Circle chat types what you say, so it spells automatically, correct? Why then was Kate aka Jay in this current series so worried about how to spell some of the words involving builders terminology? I would think she could just say the word and The Circle would autospell it.

Emilie Rapport no. I read about this. The circle’s software was built so that no one would have to do that. There’s no one typing what they say.

Are you paid for being in there? Or are you kept there just by the incentive of the prize money

Paid weekly. This is true for all reality tv shows where people are voted out. Including big brother, survivor, the biggest loser, etc. They are paid pretty well too depending on how famous the show is. Survivor and big brother contestants get around $1-2k every week they are on the show. Celebrity big brother is different. The celebs in that show get a flat rate for being on the show based on how famous they are. I heard Omarosa received somewhere around a million to be on the show.

I love hearing all the behind the scenes info! Two things I've wondered about: did you get told beforehand you were going to be one of the first 8 players going in? Also, was going in as Kate your idea from the start or did you discuss your options with the producers during casting?

@@AlexHobern ...and you auditioned to be a catfish? It must be a complicated process for the producers. Presumably they also interviewed Millie? Then there's copyright for all of the profile photos. I guess Sammie, Joyce etc are most likely to actually be someone on the production team.

Chloe Gill it’s fake, when I was watching it the corridors that are filmed are bright blue, but if you look at the doors when players open them to visit the corridor is a completely diff colour.

Loving these vids Alex. Great insight! A question if you do a part 3: After you came out of the circle, with your new found game, how did you find seeing all the comments about you on Twitter etc? Were there some comments/insults that you found really hard to take and was there any discoveries about yourself you made under the unfiltered scrutiny of millions of people? I know you asked Alex this but I would like to add my two sense because I find this show absolutely incredible from a game and tactical point of view absolutely woody should have gone for the big fish but then you have to consider the player woody is not playing that type of game!so should the public have chosen someone more savage like Sammie yes but I am glad they didn't I want to see someone win that is raising people up rather than dragging people down! So I think we know whom are bringing people up and dragging people down! I thought this about Freddie and Kate last year Kate played smart and did not really bad mouth anyone but Freddie was brutal absolute savage keyboard warrior lol and i is funny how they are mates in real life!lol has to be Tim for the win for me because he is the best player in a nice way Sammie is the villian!some people go for the villian like the karate kid a lot of people loved Johnny not me I know I varied from the topic but boy i could talk about this show all night great cast great show!!!!

@@YOYOKE64 I meant having a conversation agreeing to split the money in the course of dialogue once they’re in the circle. I know an alliance (Circle of Trust) was formed in S2) but they didn’t agree to split winnings.

Does the user interface for the circle look the same as it does on the tv episodes? or do you look at a green screen? How fast does it react to what you say?

I noticed the hallways aren’t blue when the camera looks at the front door so do they make you go to the slow mo hallway before you go wherever?

The chances of a fire getting out of control with all the crew and cameras 24/7 can't be too high! I'm sure there must be also sorts of emergency plans / risk assessments as there'd be for any business. A lot will probably be down to selecting a suitable building in the first place.

My question is how do they make sure the players don’t recognise each other or do they just hope for the best? Like if someone went in and saw the photo of someone they follow on Instagram for example but it’s a different name so they know for sure it’s a catfish

Mmmm, there'd be copyright issues over the photos anyway, so I guess they pay some attention to where they come from. I suppose there's always a remote chance, but couldn't it actually be a good thing for the program? Woody sort of dropped a few hints and if you'd listened to his mum's radio progs you'd have certainly have heard his name more than once!

I’m imagining something like Alex going in as Kate, but someone random who went to school with his gf was in there too and knows her name isn’t Kate, so it would be game over for Alex on day 1 lmao. When we are shown the blocked players to meet another player along the corridor after they have been blocked, is that filmed after as there are so many different angles from both infront and behind without having the other camera in shot?

Hey Alex was a big fan last year the show is so interesting one of the best to watch keeps u entertained! I have two questions one do you get to listen to music in the circle? And secondly would you have any idea on how Joyce aka Beth and Jack where briefed on how they could live together?cause there appeared to be rules like they could not share a bed!and finally can you do a video on the dynamic of Sammie vrs Tim in is turning out to be an incredible game of chess it's like a bond movie with Sammie as the villian except Tim has the cat lol.sammie is making the show and is an incredible player yet on the other side of the coin Tim is a wonderful player I have taken to heart ,would like to see u do a video on how the game is playing out! Thank you for these very interesting videos. I have so many questions :) Are there things that you know about the production that you are not allowed to talk about? Are the players at any point directed, eg to be more vocal or repeating sentences? Are there many chats that aren’t broadcast? If it really is so boring being in the circle, why aren’t you/they chatting all the time? Are there limits to how many chats they can have? And finally: I hope it’s fair to say that you won series one largely because Dan didn’t vote tactically. How would you change the final to secure the most fair winner?

What was the application process like and how long before the show started did you find out you’d be going in?

How far in advance do you know your going on the show (to book time off work, etc)? And, can you tell your friends your going on it (and why you won’t be available for up to three weeks) or does it have to be just your close family?

I saw a picture of the control room on Twitter last year and there was a producer typing things out, so I think the system isn’t voice activated (think about how many times our phones get it wrong when dictating text)

If you wanted to chat to someone whilst their lights are out, will it say you can’t chat?

What are your instructions before going in. Are you shown how to react to some things, what to expect, and how to use the circle chat?

How did the typing work, was there a delay

Are ALL the corridors linking rooms really lit up for the slow mo walk? Or is there just one corridor they have to walk along for effect

What happens the day(s) before the final, after the final dinner? Do you go back to your apartments again back to TheCircle or is it over and into lockdown?

Do you think the player rating system in season 1 or season 2 is better? (Season 1 each player voted the others out of 5 - season 2 the plays ranked the others 1st to last)

When sending a message did you have to read it back for the cameras or is it really as smoothly spoken first time as it looks??

Tom Clark sometimes you can see that they’re reading it back because you can see the paragraph or whatever fully typed out

while in the hangout could you hear the other player as you are very close to them and in the next room?

How Long Did It Take For The Rating Results To Be Completed?

When you did all of the things they gave you (puzzles, books, etc.) did they give you new ones to use while in there?

Could you message anyone at anytime or do you have to wait to be told when you can chat to someone? Emelle said in a podcast that she wanted to talk to tim but they said no, and you also had to request to talk to someone and what you wanted to talk to them about then the producers would tell you if you could message them. Is that different to last year?

Question: What did you have to take with you in order to live in The Circle? Personal possessions or watches etc?

Bit of a weird question (inspired by your point about calling everyone by their full names) - did the Kate character have a surname, and if so what was it? I think Christopher's was Arthur-Stanley.

Are you told when other players are asleep?? Just thinking of this series where paddy and sammie were talking whilst everyone else was asleep like how did they know they’d be up 👀

Did you ever talk about movies with other players in The Circle, e.g. favourite ones, bad ones, old ones, new ones etc?

You have previously said apartments are well soundproofed and scattered through the building so how do producers ensure you don't encounter the public coming out of their neighbouring apartment while moving you to the roof, hangout, gym etc.

Which rating systems works better and why? Do you have a better idea of how the rating system could work?

Question... I watched the circle us Netflix series and got curious about the uk season. So, I watched a compilation of the catfish moments and something strange stuck out to me.. the decor and room layout and even size and location of furniture is exactly the same as the other.. so.. I'm confused by that

Amber Kay yeah it was all shot in the UK in the same building. The bought the American cast over here.

So, not sure if this is the way it was on the UK version, but on the US version of The Circle, all of the books the players read had blank/non-descript covers so you can't see what they are reading. Was there a reason for that? Did they just want to avoid advertising anything inadvertently (for example, if a player chose to read a "Star Wars" novel, since Star Wars is owned by Disney)?

How can we see the UK version of the show

When a catfish is blocked and goes to meet another player, is that player allowed to reveal to the others it was a catfish or do you have to wait until the video message reveal?

I know this never happened to you but you might know, when your blocked and you go visit someone are you given directions and room numbers to each individual room or are you directed by people working on set?

Did you do your own housekeeping i.e vacuuming, etc or was it all done while you are on a fresh air break/ gym.

Have you realised the actual corridor looks different from the VT corridor?

Couple questions: The building looks huge, is anyone else living there? 2) Is the building on a public street? can you see people outside etc? 3) Could you just walk out of your apartment if you wanted? 4) were you allowed any contact with friends or family during the show?
