About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.
Please subscribe and follow our families journey, with the up’s and down’s in moving from the UK and Escape to rural France to restore this beautiful building to its former glory.

A sundial in the center or a mosaic with your beautiful LaLacelle letters from your Logo.
I love watching Patrick helping you to dig , he’s such a character.💗🇬🇧
a small decorative round gazebo with benches in it would provide a perfect viewing spot for the garden, even while it rains. Would also provide the perfect spot to have a wedding or something like that in future
Terry, just wanted to tell you that your editing of this episode was brilliant! Beautiful music combined with excellent photography. A real pleasure to experience and it feels like we’re right there with you in the garden. Excellent progress outdoors in the garden! Cheers! ❤️🇨🇦
You guys are absolutely amazing! Dont ever apologise for updating us on all the work that's involved in making your beautiful chateau shine. Its a gargantuan task that you have all taken on. We appreciate that every task you undertake makes such a massive difference in making her look better and better. Thank you.
This garden will look stunning when bushes and flowers come into bloom.
the garden is definately Ash's happy place! ❤
I love the updated intro. It really is one of the better one of all the vlogers I watch. I vote for a sundial. ❤😊
I know you don't want to block the beautiful view so i love the sundial idea. Rounded benches that mimick the rounded edges and a urn with flowers between them. Im sure you'll come up with something amazing.
The gardens are truly taking BEAUTIFUL shape!!! 🥰🎶❤️🎶🌻🌻🌻🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🏰🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
I've watched videos of the Chateau restoration from the beginning stages, somehow it makes me feel humble knowing you all gave this lonely place some TLC and bringing it back to life.
Yes, a sundial in the centre and benches around the edges of the circle, around the sundial, so people can relax and enjoy the garden.
You three are amazing. I often think of the huge staff these chateaux used to have and you do it all without much outside help. You should all feel really good about your incredible progress.
I bet you all sleep sound at night. All of that work is exhausting. You are all getting great sun color in your faces. Patrick and Sasha make great supervisors. Awesome job, all.❤
For the center a low, 36” high? square granite or cement pillar with cut out or raised panels on all four sides with your beautiful chateau logo carved into the raised panels or raised in the carved out panels - in granite or cement. And on the top, an iron - or whatever you can find - sun dial - antique? - or a simple round concrete or granite bird bath - or a simple round concrete or granite bowl of whatever plants your garden designer would plan. Well…you asked!
YOU THREE ARE FANTASTIC THE Amount OF WORK YOU ARE PUTTING IN TO THE GARDEN IS Amazing AND WATCH MUM DIGGING AWAY HOPE SHE A NICE HOT BATH TO LOOK FORWARD TO. WHERE IS OUR YOUNG JON ATHAN not seen him Lately anyway TAKE CARE xxxx
I bet when you all go in at night you sleep like logs, from all the work you do. Working in the garden is a great workout and one day soon, you all will be able to sit and enjoy that beautiful garden you have created. A very sweet reward. Little Patrick deserves a special little corner of the garden for all his hard work too. The little guy is out there supervising n keeping you all on track! He makes me smile whenever i see him waddling over to check the progress and offer a little digging inspiration.
I think a white metal gazebo with table, chairs and with climbing roses and wisteria would be beautiful! Someplace people could sit and have a glass of wine while they enjoy the garden views, smell the smells and hear the water fountains! A place to sit and enjoy instead of a walk through garden. The white metal would be open and wouldn’t interfere with the views
Historically in a focal point like the one you have there, there was a sun dial there. Either a very plain sun dial on a plinth or a globe out of metal on a small column. Having small benches around it would look lovely.
All of you just amaze me that you are able to do this heavy work and still retain your sanity!
