The Chateau Diaries: BACK TO LALANDE!

We return to Lalande after a glorious stay with Anna & Philipp of @How To Renovate A Chateau in Normandy. We get back just in time to celebrate Mandy's last night at the chateau before returning to start her new job in Germany. It's been a week of typical chateau life - Selmar makes progress on the floor tiles, Marie receives new flowers, the electrical company finally remove our unsightly overhead wires, Philip and I start to take down the Christmas decorations and Nati finds a mysterious flood...

I've been watching sense just before Selmar arrive at lalande. It's wonderful to find videos that I can watch while my toddler is playing because I can only handle so much toddler tv shows..... I have no desire to change my dialect in order to fit in with the French or general British dialect. There are significantly more Americans speaking in the world than Europeans and our dialect, it has become quite evident, will overtake. Those connection to the tank sometimes leaks as do the connections where the tank screws attached to the bowl. His sense of humor keeps all of us out here laughing. I loved seeing Stephanie's revamped closet, and am still scratching my head as to where the water came from. Please tell us where it came from when you find out. Such a silly, but mystifying oddity. I want to suggest doing a little research on Wisteria. If not carefully managed it can be 'very' invasive.

Wet Persian rug advice: 1. Best to dry it on a flat surface. 2. Use towels on both sides to soak up excess liquid. If very wet still let it dry in the sun on a flat surface! 3. At this point a hair dryer can be used. Put a few heavy objects on the rug, especially on the edges where it will most likely start to ruffle. (When very wet and using towels, be careful not to smudge the colours of the rug.

If the Toilet was running like that the whole evening, the running water constantly running could of damaged the wax seal that would be used between the porcelain and the sewage drain. it could then travel down a wall and out onto the floor, which would be why the ceiling below is not damaged. I would advise having the seal checked as in the future it could also allow for sewer smell to enter the bathroom.

@ Mandy our heart goes with you. You will be so greatly missed. Am sure you will be back to visit. May your new job be all you would love it to be and more. The closets look so organized and well done, Stephanie. Now you will find everything you want so easily. Scarves and variations of tying them are very fashionable and am sure especially when you take the special trips you will be ready. Look forward to all you do and each day is a busy one at the Chateau. Decorations are always very hard to do, so it seems to me. Easier to put up than to take down. Selmar works hard with cement, as it is not easy to cut or work with I do not think? He seems to love all he does. Philip certainly fixed the Wedgwood egg very nicely, and it would not even look like it broke, I do not think? Nattie is always busy with all her own work and projects but yet takes part in all events so willingly and joyfully.
